Annoying Things

I had to file down the callous on my finger tips from working so hard because they caught and ripped my stockings today.

My work stressed me out and pissed me off. Cant you DO things for YOURSELF??

I went into the japanese department store on Bourke street and found the most useless gimmicky things in the smallest amount of space. If we were to play a game, where we had to buy each other the most useless /random/unlikely thing in the world I would surely win:

  • Scented sticky tape to put on walls to catch and keep flies (imagine peeling that sticky tape off and staring at your collection of dead flies) 'oh my house is so clean!'
  • Fake crow to scare the birds away
  • Plastic spikey tiles which shows a cartoon of  cat stepping on it and in pain (morbid)
  • Spectacle holder lined with faux leather
  • Miniature tool set
  • hankerchief to wrap your lunch in like the good old days
  • cases for your chop sticks
  • double eye lid maker glue

Its even funnier because there is no english on these packages. You have to go by the playful cartoon characters who demonstrate the use of the product. Sometimes there are handy little translation papers that the sales assistants stick on the racks. They say things like 'Double Eye Lid Maker' or 'Great Popularity!' along with a cute cartoon with highlighter borders. Definitely a culture clash here. We went to a Korean/chinese hair and beauty shop. Absolutely EVERYTHING was in non-english. There werent even prices on them. Where the packaging didnt portray 12 yo looking asian girls with large eyes, eyelashes and double eye lids there were manga cartoons e.g. mascara packaging - manga cartoon. I cant relate to a manga character when I am looking for a good mascara. I want to know what im putting on my face and im not trusting a blonde fob girl to translate for me. And its not like these girls offer to help you anyway. They just follow you to make sure you dont steal shit. How do these people make money in Australia? Why are you being so racist-exclusive??

Double packaging or useless/gimmick items annoy me. At design school we have to design with as little as possibile, only use what is needed, include what is necessary. The rest is useless junk which creates more physical waste or confuse people with indirect messages (in terms of excessive use of graphic elements). WHY do things need to be double packaged?? WHY?!

Make a stance. If you see a shit advertisement or any shit/unappealing/misleading/confusing/ugly communication design piece just ignore it because design is the fight against all these things. The fact that you paid attention to it is more than it deserves. A good design piece should be self-explanatory, you shouldnt need to stand there in confusion trying to figure it out. Design is a fight against waste, inefficiency, disorganisation, miscommunication or any unnecessary communication pain we think we need to experience before the end result is achieved.

Ranting

Sea salt water in my hair
Right hand nails are painted black
The left is white
Jekyll and Hyde
To express both my personalities
And perhaps my indecisiveness

Actually, I'm not
This is just me being self-balanced
Good and bad are contained within
It's only natural
It's Ying and Yang

My room is never gonna be completely clean. I live in organised kaos but at least it's organised. I like mess. I like looking at people's rooms or work stations because I learn about the sort of person they are. The girls at work spray their shoes with leather protector or buy a brand new pair once the leather has gone all shit. I'd like to wear my shoes til death and even then I will keep them as memories. My Year 8 chuck taylors are probably the most disgusting pair of shoes you'd ever seen and if tested for bacteria, there would not be a strong enough device.

Bed sheets are white
A few make up stains here and there
It doesnt bother me
Until someone comes over
And sleeps in my bed
Why must I feel embarrassed of my own bed?

Eyesdown
But my chin is still up
You can look at me
I won't notice you

My ear cartliage peircings trip me out. One year on and they still give me pain. Sometimes the pain is so much my eyes water, but I still move my stud around until my brain releases all the morphine it can give me. I move it til I feel numb. I cant sleep comfortably on my left side. No way will I get my right cartilage down. Its the only comfy side I have left and I am a side sleeper.

Jwow's under new and strict management. I dont like it because I dont like changes especially when I been at this place longer than you have and you tell me what to do. I dont like being told off. I don't care if you know more about management/bartending than I do. I know the changes are all for the benefit of Jwow, and because I love jwow so much I will do it. I'm actually sooking. I know these changes should have been in place from the beginning. But still, who are YOU to come into jwow and tell me off for eating chips infront of customers and beckon me over just to tell me off?? I'll find ways to cheat the system.

People stress out when there is change. People with the gemini star sign are more acceptive and adaptable to change. Helen's loving these jwow changes but ill still show some resistance.

Helen: I'm so excited for our holiday! we can sit next to each other on the plane! Or, do you talk a lot??

No, I don't talk a lot. Talkative people annoy me. Especially during travelling. I think its nice that you can share a moment of comfortable silence with someone. None of that fake chit chat. People with little to say are intriguing. Those who say things concisely are intelligent and rich in vocabulary, logic and efficiency. Helen, Yao and I work well as a team because we are Asian and all Asians are efficient (and economic). Stereotypically. I think its true.

Theres this young couple who catch the 723am train regularly. The girl talks SO much and I feel sorry for the dude. Like, and like... like this and like that, do you know what I mean?? No. Shut up.

Lately I've been annoyed at my manager. Not mentioning which of my numerous jobs this relates to.. I get so annoyed and I cant help giving attitude although most of the time I do keep it in.

Manager: Jen
Me: Yes?
Manager: Jennnn
Me: Yeh????
Manager: JEN!
Me: WHAT?!
Manger: (tells me something obvious)
Me: Yeh I know
Manager: JEN!
Me: I HEARD YOU!

Argh! Gimme a break. PLEASE I just wanna do my workkkkk! I could go on with more complaining but not too sure its safe to do so here... Its keep-quiet-and-pretend-to-be-happy time

It comes that time in my life when I get the urge to change the course of nature and pierce/tattoo/mutilate my body for the sake of beauty and satisfaction. Another piercing perhaps, where? Belly ring.. although.. I do have my fat days.. and when I'm wearing a tight top there will be a stud buldge. Also, it's rare when my belly ring will be exposed.. I've always liked lip piercings.. I dont want one that will knock against my $7,000 perfectly aligned teeth but one that goes through the bottom lip and out the top. I've seen it on.. Fucking sexy. I'd get it on my left side to balance with my right nostril ring.

I like the idea of matching tattoos because of how absolutely ridiculous it is. Matching tattoos?? Are you crazy? Si senor. Crazy loco. Matching tattoos are a memory of someone. Good or bad it doesnt matter.. people get tattoos that remind them of something bad sooo whats so bad about a matching tattoo??

I weigh myself at least once a day not because I'm obsessed with my weight but because I find it interesting how I can loose 300g between the time I fall asleep and wake up. About 2 years ago (recovering from my beer belly) was my fat days. I could no longer fit into my $400 Kookai Jeans I bought drunk shopping with Kylie. I ranged from 54-55kgs. Since then I lost weight by being jet lagged, getting forced to eat smaller food portions, working fucking hard, staying up late and fucking up sleeping /eating patterns, my inability to cook and preferring to sleep my hunger off. Before I left for the Philippines in December 2011 I weighed 51 kgs. I came back with about 3 kgs more which was surprising considering how much I ate and drank. I lost those 3 kgs by the 2nd week I came back by, yet again, being jet lag (fucking up sleeping/eating patterns) and working fucking hard. Now I range from 50 to 51.8 kgs.

I dont like exercise. I dont like running, gyming.. I think my work at Tony is phyiscal enough and I work so hard I sweat. My back is muscelier and so are my arms. This week my wrists ache. I'm gonna get hankels so when I punch someone my wrist wont bend in the natural way it does.

'How much do you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?'

Fight club was on tonight. My all time favourite movie that just pumps me up. My sister asked me what it was about.. and I was delighted to answer the question but yet overwhelmed. There was just so much to say!!

I've bought two books recently: UK Underground Gangsters' Wives and Crimes of Passion. The first book tells the stories of the wives of gangsters, about lifestyle, activities, jail sentences and the kind of person she or the husband was. They say a lot of negative things about being the wife of a gangster.. espeically when there are children involved, running to do, court hearings to attend, jail sentences to be had, loss of identity, trust and relationship issues.. but damn its still so intriguing to me. Most these women turn a blind eye to the activities of their husbands because they love them unconditionally and the lifestyle is really a good lifestyle. Most believe they are just 'being a little bit naughty', the activities arent as serious as the law makes them to be. Oh geez, thats exactly what I would think.

I remember the days I fantasized being a drug dealer. Fake identification, I was mocked for choosing such a long and elegant name. 'Stoners wont be fucked calling up a drug dealer with the name Anastasia'. I thought it was a pretty name. We made plans which we thought were clever at the time. Now they are laughable. Being a girl, I would've probably gotten jumped and bashed big time.

The second book I had a difficult time choosing. I chose it over 'Serial Killers' and 'Infamous Murders' but seeing has I had read a lot about those topics, it was good to get something more specialised. Crimes of Passion are past accounts where lovers acted on jealousy, rage.. Love and anger blinded them and steered them to commit these crimes. Interesting.

Again, I recall the times where we had plans to fuck up some guy that fucked me over big time. I'd lure him in a quiet place, get him jumped. Back then it was a serious plan, more serious than the drug deal one. Although I wanted revenge, I didn't want anyone to get hurt or worse, die. My imagination ran wild because I dreamt about it a few times. I dreamt that we had actually killed the dude, chopped up his body and threw it in a clear plastic bag and then into those American tin trash cans. Then in the dream, I felt enormous and unbearable regret and disgust for myself to the point where I felt like vomiting. I thought the only thing to make it better was to escape immediately to Mexico. I was sad that I couldnt say good bye to my friends or family, or to tell my story. I imagine what shit I would put them through. The dream was so real. I woke up and decided to call our wicked plan off. off. off. off.

I read too much of that serial killer and murder shit that it effects me, mostly in my dreams though.

I think dreams are amazing. I believe they reveal your subconscience, emotions and sometimes connect you with people in reality.. or maybe open your mind to possibilities.. you wake up and consider 'what if that acutally happened??' and thats how ur attitudes to life can be changed by ur dreams. When I was living with my parents, my mum told me about a real vivid dream she had about my sister. My sister was yelling at my mum in complete desparation, my sister said HELP ME!!!! She rang my sister the next day to tell her about the dream and make sure she was okay. I scoffed at the idea, it was just a dream! But later on, my sister would admit that that time she was going through a really really tough time. My sister was shocked when mum told her about the dream.

I've heard stories from people I know where loved ones from past times have approached them in their dreams and given them a heads up on what was going to happen next. Spine chilling.

Ive had dreams of my brother stealing all my money and I've woken up so angry I wanted to confront him in reality and fight him. Its amazing how dreams arent simply just a movie, they take you on an emotional journey so strong you feel it when you wake up - it WAKES you up and blurs the line between reality and imagination. What else can do that to you?

Breathe 2, 3, 4

They say if you have nothing nice to say then dont say it at all. Well fuck that because thats not what mum taught me, that hypocrite. Mum's a fucking bitch. I stopped by Taylors Hill to pick up a suit case and found my room even more of her dumping ground. Shit all on my floor, on my bed under my bed, on my table, MY SHIT MOVED. The only reason why I go back home is because my room is the way it is. Vman asked me why I was so angry, I told him but I yelled so much I gave myself a sore throat. I msgd my mum.
'Get your shit outta my room.
I couldn't even sleep there if I wanted to!
Use Ate's room!'
If you have nothing nice to say then don't say it at all?? Fuck that. I wish she was here so I could fight her! I can't stop frowning!!!! ARGHHH#$@#$!!

Less Is More

If you
  • Wear your sunnies indoors
  • Listen to music on full blast with car windows down and look to see if anyone is looking
  • Rev your car at a stop light
  • Think you can get a girls attention by talking louder/swearing to your mates as she walks by
  • Have meaningless Asian or tribal patterns tattooed on your arms
  • Insist on walking around with your chin up
  • Stare down other kunts because you think you're better than them
  • Drive like a sickunt because you've just seen Fast & The Furious and you think your real like is just like the movies
  • Think that by overdosing on perfume makes you more attractive
  • Instantly become cocky when your rolling with your wolf pack
You are a wanker

Goodnight Friends and Wankers. That Was My Friday.

13 hour epic shift at jwow last night. 9 hours sleep but the body feels tired and muscles ache. Especially my back, chest and calves. Jwow is my weekly cardio exercise. Pumpin. Vman drove me home after i finished at 4 in the morning. I was talking the whole way, I had so many stories to tell. Many angry moments and also funny moments. the good balanced the bad, so I don't know if i had a good day or not.
Fuck Off Moments
  1. Stuck Up Bitches She said she'd come back when I had finished making her cocktail. But she didn't so I ended up bringing it over. When I did, no eye contact, acknowledgement or thank you. Okay. Her older friend yells out 'EXCUSE ME!' and beckons me with her scrawny finger. I roll my eyes, how rule of this 50 year old. I know you're 50. Or at least you look it. Scrawny fingers: "Does this cracker smell funny?" Me: "I'm not sure. I'll check it against the rest of the packet" Cocktail bitch: "Oh, and can you check the used by date?" The rest of the stuck up bitches crack up in laughter. I roll my eyes, ignored her and walked away. I check the used by date. shit. I was in deep shit. I was acting like a sikunt to these people and I was in the wrong???! Ugh, Jwow why must you embarrass me when I back you up?!? Let down. My pride. I think of how to talk my way out of this. Marc was doing his sweet talk thing. thank god for marc. Marc i love you. Scrawny fingers: "Look at us. We're happy, see??? Ha haa. Ha aaaaa" She had a fake smile on and bobbed her head side to side. They were happy.
  2. Picky Ey So we're running out of wine glasses. Everyone wants to drink wine. This lady buys a bottle. I give her small wine glasses. Asian lady: Can I have wine glasses? Me: Here Asian lady: I'm not drinking out of these. Me: Why don't you shove em up your loose asshole then. I wish.
  3. The Indian guy Aaron warned me about him. The puny Indian young guy, drunk and thinking he was 'all that' with the ladies. I walk past them and into the storage room. He and his friends were howling like wolves and wolf whistling. I turn around, they look to the ceiling to avoid eye contact. But that Indian guy keeps looking to see if I'm still looking. Yes, wanker, I am. I give him the finger. The memorable finger gesture I was speaking about in my previous post. There was so much anger in that finger I swear I was gonna snap off my other fingers holding my middle one up. My face was burning. Teeth clenching. I was completely sober. I wanted to fight. Disrespectful wankers. How dare they. He sees. And the group of guys hush hush and whisper quietly. I come out of the storage room. White guy: Sorry about my friend. Don't pay any attention to him Me: I won't
  4. The White Guy (another white guy) I thought he was cool. He was my friend for the night. Except this time he was staring at me dead straight in the eye. It made me feel uncomfortable. Me: What are you staring at? White guy: (in a drunken trance) Me: Didn't your mum ever tell you its rude to stare? White: (trance) Me: What?? White guy: (reaches over to fondle my cheek) Me: Don't touch me! (angry) White guy: Why are you being mean to me? Me: Coz you're staring at me! White: Don't let my girlfriend hear you speak like that Me: Stop looking at me White: What's wrong with that? Me: I don't want that kinda attention. Look over there (points) White: What? Me: Look over there!! and we're cool! (angry) White: (looks away for .5 seconds) Me: Okay good. We're cool. Break the wrist and walk away. Break the wrist and walk away. He comes up to me after. Apologises. I see sincerity in his eyes. I made me understand that he made me feel awkward and I wasn't gonna feel awkward while i was at work. Okay. We're cool. I was outside with Aaron. White guy comes bolting out, followed by one of his friends and then a very angry and screaming joey. Omg. Apparently white guy threw a glass at the wall and ran off. Apparently he was aiming at a girl. Fucking wanker all along.
  5. The Asian Guy Oh didnt he think he was so hot. We needed to hit a budget today so I put up with this guy longer than I should've. I just wanted to make money out of him. Me: What do you want? Asian: What do you want? Me: I'm not allowed to drink. I'm a bartender. Asian: Bullshit. You're drunk already. Look! You're red! Me: I am not. I haven't drunk all day Asian: What? So you didnt drink water?? Me: You asked if i was drunk. I said I havent dranken all day. We're obviously talking about alcohol. Asian: Nah so you didn't drink water all day! Me: Okay. What do you want? (a.k.a. just gimme your money) Asian: What do you want? Me: Okay I'm gonna walk over there and when I come back you're gonna tell me what you want Asian: Okay go walk and come back Me: Nah seriously, what do you want? Asian: Nah go walk and come back Me: okay ill walk but I won't come back I walk. And so do they. I hear the guys laughing their doofy laughs, saying "Nahh man, you gotta wait til she comes back to you!" Fucking gooses. Ugh. They bought 20 drinks. We took $160 out of their pockets and absolutely smashed out budget. Now drink ur drinks and fuck off.
  6. And there was that other incident. x2 I was in a bad mood already.
Good Times
  1. Hungry Jacks. I love you and hate you. I wolfed down the best and freshest whopper burger that I have ever had from the Melbourne Central Hungry Jacks. I also had large chips. I wolfed it down so fast I felt so sick. But went to get Noodle Kingdom dumplings for the mains :)
  2. Looking on with glitter in my eyes. There was a new group at jwow last night. A subtley cool group. You know how I love my subtley cool people. Quality plain or quiet patterned button up shirts. Trademark khaki Dickies work pants. Infa red air max 90's. Textured old man hats, not to the back or side, but to the front. Only a small group of people knew they were Kangol. It didn't even have to boast with loud colours or oversized logo. I knew. I quietly acknowledged their style. the only thing that was loud about their style was the New York Yankee vintage baseball jackets they were wearing. Did they see my Timberlands? They were talking about me. They drank Southern comfort, bourbon, scotch and Johnny Walker Black on two cubes of ice. They tipped more than the usual customers. Rich and gangsta? Ulimate hip hop heads. Four dollllars, four dollaaars!! They were outside on Little Lonsdale street. The side walk was packed to the rafters with these subtley cool people. Apparently they were a group of poppers. They were breakdancing in the middle of the road. But not like show off/sikunt gangsters coz they respected the passing traffic. The bootilicious African lady clung on to the Dickies wearing African guy leaning on the back of a car. Passers buy and Strike/Match Bar security were watching on. Admiration? Curiosity? I was watching a film clip. I was feeling this positive and natural vibe. This is Jwow.
  3. Customer Interaction: Luke He taught me how to make a Gin Martini. Ice in cocktail shaker Olive 1.5 Shots of Larios Gin A very tiny sliver of lemon Shake Noilly Prat Sweet vermouth swished around the insides of the martini glass and *Luke's special and quiet forceful SHAKE of the martini glass* Strain gin into martini glass I shook his hand and give him a discount.
  4. Customer Interaction: Tam I was trying to sell him shots of Aha Tora Tequila. I let him try the Anjeo and the Resporado but he didnt like it. He was a solid Patron enthusiast. Me: What's wrong with Aha Toro? It sits next to the Patron on the top shelf. Do you know Mailek? Tam: Yeh I know Mailek Me: Mailek loves Aha Toro. He always drinks it. Tam: I don't trust Mailek.. HAHA! He taught me and Cheese the importance of good tequila. He believed tequila should not be served with salt or lemon. It should be drunken straight and it should feel good doing it. He rather pay double the price for top shelf tequila because so matter how much you drink, you will apparently never wake up with a hang over. Tam spoke about having a relationship with alcohol and Patron in particular. Tam: Drinking Patron is like having the best sex in your life. When I see her in the street, I just want it right now, all night. Me: So when I'm trying to sell you Aha Toro... Tam: It's okay, it's nice... I might try it once but never again... When I see that Patron, I just want it. HAHA! I'll always remember him with his story. Tam: I shouldn't have told you!! >.<

Complain complain

Ugh. job hunting is a bitch. And interviews are a bitch. i just wanna be immature and fast forward to more fun times. My body is tired and its only 11:27pm. I was in high heels all day.
Waiting at the train station
went to uni then to highpoint for a job interview. I find out tmrw if im successful or not, but to be honest, i dont really wanna work there. If i dont get a call back its because what i was wearing would suit their company style which was more laid back, country, comfy and suited more for 30 year olds +. I was in skin tight black jeans, tight black singlet, baggy unbuttoned khaki shirt with beige buckled high heels. Meh.
Waiting for Ate after my interview
I just applied for about 5 jobs on seek. commooon i want money!!!! you know i can work hard. I dont know if im glad to say this but, im getting a normal person's sleeping pattern back. I'm jealous of vince's new phone. Its a Motorolla Defy - the tag line is Boredom Free. I WANT THAT! I'm planning to change mobile phone carriers since ive been with mine since i was in year 9. people are on 'caps' which they pay as low as $29 a month, with a nice little phone at no extra cost, and get $180 worth of credit. I, however, am on a shitty prepaid that i pay $30 and only get $30 credit and i could spend up to $75 a month and my phones not even good. I wanna be able to check my facebook, check in cool places, check my ebay and also check train time tables. its like carrying a laptop everywhere AND having internet. so cool. Its time to climb this ladder. I went to Quang Vinh today, the first time since vince found a cockroach in his soup. and i will admit, the food there is bloody good. Have u tried Mung Bean smoothie? i just did. and oh man, thats gonna be something i'll crave.

Home is Where I Can Look Like A Bum & Not Be A Bum

Check out mine and vince's tom yum hot pot.
Tom YUM!
14hour shift last night with no proper break. are you fucking crazy? rachel zoe says
UGH!
you could say im desparately looking for another job. need more money. gotta pay for things that im not used to e.g. bills, food, BUS MONEY and my fucking Metro fine for travelling on a concession card without having a valid concession card - it was expired exactly 17 days before my fine and i was in the literal process of getting it renewed! Swinburne stamped my application form on the 16th, i got fined on the 17th and i fully processed my card on the 18th. UGH! such fucking luck. i love swearing. today i woke up in pain and frustration. I finished work at 5am, slept at 6am and woke up at 2:30pm. i told bentot my tummy was rumbling. he asked me what my tummy was saying. i told him my tummy was saying
crispy skin chicken and tomato rice and taro ice blend
bentot said he would get ready and take me :) AW! he so sweet to me. last night, when me, helen and cheese were so obviously dead tired from work, vince came in and helped. he took the broom off me, and swept the floor. i started mopping. when he finished sweeping, he came over and took the mop off me. aw. both me and helen tried to fight for the mop, with all the energy left in our small and hungry bodies, but vman was still persistent. we just left him to it. closing last night wasn't so bad. mainly because everyone fucked off and we closed 30 minutes early. we dedicated our $10 each tip money to buy 2 large pizzas and garlic bread - delivered. we rounded up the customers, locked jwow and waited outside for our pizza - cleaning can be done after. we kicked back on the state library bench for ages and it was the 1st bit of fresh air i had in 12 hours. it was also my first proper break. i immediately felt better. Ty, our friendly and best DJ has some pretty cool friends. Mebz, my 2nd favourite customer works at an African Resto on Brunswick street called Nyala. I really hope i go and check it out this Wednesday since i didnt go last week.. i did have this annoying customer though. she was nice and friendly at first. then she came up with a chewy on her pants.she said the chewy was under her table and when she crossed her legs it got stuck on her knee. she said
i at least want the dry cleaning paid for
i told her to fuck off. nah not really. i told her
we cant control people who put chewy under our tables. we obviously dont WANT people to put chewy under our tables. a customer has never come up, demanding to have their dry cleaning paid for because they sat on some chewy.
her come back was
well it was within your establishment and these are a very expensive pair of pants
what..? those velvet things? ugh. fuck off. she pissed me off the whole night. really. i wish i didnt have to be surrounded by such fake, pretentious, upperclass, materialistic, demanding, illogical, superficial kunts. everyone is happier being kick back. John Travolta says
Be cool.
Vince and his mum picked me up and we went off to St. Albans to carry out the orders of my tummy. Vince's mum needed medicine so we waited in the parked car behind Safeway. We witnessed a drug deal. Facebook status that shit. I had my crispy chicken hit, i also had a strong ass iced coffee vietnamei style. then we started shopping for ingredients for our Hot Pot tmrw. As I walked down st. albans I realised how relaxed and at home I feel. I know where everything is, I know the old men will stare but I still feel comfortable walking past, I know those gangsta looking asians arent so intimidating because judging by their hair, they're only in high school. So So St. Albans
  1. Chewing gum on the pavement
  2. Vietnamese resto's and asian groceries selling the same shit for pretty much the same price
  3. Unhygienic food practices, potential food poisoning and the occasional cockroach in your Pho
  4. Identifying Asian grocery stores not by their names but where their register is located
  5. Shoppers in pajama clothes and horribly mismatching colours and high heels (women of course)
  6. The vietnamese language being shouted across the store and in your ear
  7. Broken-english speaking people (which I am now accustomed too)
  8. People shouting take away orders from the restuarant door
  9. Asian 'gangsters' with tips, fringes, spikey hair and low riding carribee bags
  10. The sqaure bus top, buses and their stoned drivers
  11. Double parked cars
  12. Stationary cars with their indicators going right you don't know if you have to wait or over take them
  13. Tiny asian mums driving chunky ass four wheeled drives, squinting and leaning over the stirring wheel
  14. Failed parallel parks and almost no reversed parks
  15. Driving hell around the Alfreda Street parking patch
  16. Gangstas outside the charcoal chicken shop
  17. The '20cent' guy
  18. The 'cowboy' guy
  19. Old Vietnamese men who sit at the resto's before the library and so very obviously stare as you walk past
  20. Angry customers walking out of hair salons
  21. Notorious St. Albans Train Station crossing
  22. Commuters running for the train and missing it (HAHA!)
  23. Machette's, stabbings and assults
  24. Fireworks for sale
  25. Akira Lanning Centre
  26. Stinky alleyway behind the Alreda Street restos and people going through the rubbish (true story)
KFL Supermarket
Graffiti: Kealba!
I love St. Albans because it is my home. It's where I grew up and I compare the rest of the world to it. I have so many memories here. I had no make up and wore my PJ pants today. I didn't feel self conscious at all. Then it hit me, home is not where you grew up, but a state of mind. Home is where you feel comfortable just being you. Love. After i got home I had to get ready to head out into the city. I lay in bed for 20 precious minutes because my body still hurt from last night. I didnt think I'd wear my heels because my calves were mattered. but i did, It helped a little that I stretched. I whipped up something in 10 minutes and surprised myself with the final result. vman's waiting outside OFF WE GO! i reached jwow. I drank me 2 glasses of sangria. i was lonely because I was by myself. I was waiting for cheese and helen. I spoke to Joey, our father-figure security guard. he was watching his car because he parked in a disabled spot and didnt wanna get fined! JOEY! I told him to move it, he said he was waiting for someone on Lt. Lonsdale to move their car. as we were complaining about paying fines, some guys right infront of us started up their car! joey, without warning, cut our convo/stopped his job and held his hand out to the guys in a 'stop' motion. he asked the guys to not move yet, joey didnt wanna loose the park to someone else. The guys started up their cars when joey was ready to park. I helped him parallel park. Joey, from the drivers seat looked and said to me with the biggest smile:
Lucky
haha! he made me laugh. he was so proud. he told me he does that every week! hahaha. aww joey. people like him make me think there is more good in this world. seeing people like him break my heart when i see them mistreated by the bad guys. I want to be surrounded by good people. always. helen and steve came. a large group of us did rum, contrieu, chambord and lime shots which was quiet strong. it was cheese's birthday. one more drink and we had to catch the 10:30pm Hall Pass movie session at the Coburg Drive Ins. It took me a while to order 2 vodka lime and sodas, one in a short glass and one in a tall glass for Princess Hwi. He was so happy when I presented him with it at the DJ booth. You could see it in his eyes. A drink well needed. Perhaps. I downed that drink in a record 3 minutes and took my 3rd piss of the day. The Coburg drive in's are haunted. I did not want to go to the toilet there. I did a quick, hug, kiss good bye to everyone and left the back way to buy some chips and drinkies at safeway. drive ins were fun. the movie wasnt. it was american. sexist. predicatable. corny. but good times. I sat in the back seat of Dave's very pretty car and was careful not to mark the leather seats, or wipe my hands on it. Dave kindly escorted me to the toilets when i cudnt hold it in. Dave also kindly drove me home. i felt so bad because i was very much out of the way. he wudnt accept the $5 i gave him for petrol money. so he left it in my mailbox according to his facebook post. ugh! todays rating: 8/10 Have I mentioned this song before? HOME ALONE :( someone keep me company

Kinda Sweet

yesterday i had some randoms speak to me on the train. drunkos as usual. get on at sunshine get off at footscray, hope they dont choose the sits next to me out of all the other seats on the train. but no. however, this random meeting was pleasant. the guy was sudanese and he had with him a male aussie. they were drinking jim beam out of a bottle and kindly offered me some. ah. no thanks *smile* if ive ever learnt something about speaking to random drunks and junkies is that to never be aggressive, unless of course they are aggressive to you. the friendly approach but not the 'please talk to me because i need friends' approach is well suited in most occasions. the sudanese guy asked me where i was going, he was surprised when i said i worked at a bar because he thought i was underaged.
how old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
21 kind sir. he asked me to read something on the MX. it said 'whoop ass' which i read and they both laughed and i did too. i felt stupid reading that and it was funny. he asked me what 'whoop' meant and i said i didnt know. he said:
i think it means (insert word in sudanese). do u know (insert the same word in sudanese)?
no haha i did not! i dont speak that language. they got off a footnam after wishing that i had a good night. and to stay out of trouble. thank you kind sir. today was a fucking mammoth shift. and by mammoth i mean 10.5hrs after doing a 11.5hrs shift last night. two record breaking busy days in a row and the threat of being understaffed yet again. i shotgun glasses so i wudnt have to deal with people's shit. so not in the mode and i was having fun shutting down people. maybe i even picked the fights. i hate it when REGULARS side order when its absolutely chockas, they think they can get special treatment. i hate it when REGULARS stand near or behind the bar to seem like sikunts 'oh i know the bartenders and i've worked here as an emergency cleaning glasses and i didnt really do a super job at it either'. i had a small argument with a lady who had a booking. i placed her in a location she didnt want to be placed and explained why. there was another booking for the wine library so i could not give the room to her. she said she didnt like the way the furniture was arranged, that it was shocking, and she couldnt have a proper conversation with her friends. she said the space wasnt big enough and she booked for 40 people. it was her 30th today and she wanted it to be special. she hoped i could accommodate her needs. i told i was simply following the instructions in the diary and i would do the best i could to accomodate her needs. i wish i told her to FUCK OFF. She had a sook to james, and james called me to fix some shit up for her, and james called her back, and james called me back. it was a ping pong game against 3 people. james eventually told me to give her room. she came up to me and told me she was taking over and if it was alright. i said: Just do it and get off my back. i took my first break at 1am and put my feet up on the cardboard boxes at jwow. to take out my frustration i made holes into the cardboard with a power drill. i took an hour break and was pleased to find jwow near empty =] must be the shit music. i realised i desparetly needed another job. fast. quick. needed to start climbing this ladder before i get stuck in this comfortable hiddy hole.

Mission

its 7:13am im checking my bank account. how the FUCK do i have $600+ there? Fuck it was sucha mission to get home last night. Its sucha misson already to get to the city from out here in the west west. Last night i worked for a bit. I love working behind the bar. I wish it was more busy though I need that rush. I was planning to go St. Kilda Night Market last night but I've read mixed messages about whether it was still running or not. Aaron made me 'join' the official facebook page and ask if this thing was still happening. NO ONE WAS GONNA CHECK and if they did why wud they answer me?! the last person to comment on that page was 2 months ago. but i did it anyway and made a fool out of myself. Aaron said he was gonna comment under mine 'dont you get it? its OFF!' aw :( James drove Joel, Aaron and I to New Market to a restaurant that served 'highly rated' mayalasian food. and god it was so good. mayalasian food is like indian food, rotti bread dipped in curry and tender meat. mmm my tummy rumbles as i think of it now. We had some sizzling noodles, chicken curry and beef, anchovies and rotti wraps for entree. I had a taro ice blend to drink. I havent had a taro ice blend in about 1.5months. St. albans hasnt been in stock for ages. Stupid st. albans ladies keep telling me 'next week! next week!' but it never comes.
Matching tissue and tea cup
As we drove back into the city in James' asian race car, a Fast and the Furious song came on. Teriyaki Boyz Cruising around Melbourne with this song playing full blast? Haha!
Aaron's Caiprihinia 1 Strawberry 15ml Passionfruit Syrup 1/2 Lime Muddle + Ice 60ml Vodka Shake
I kicked back at Jwow for a bit, waiting for a friend who said they would come. they never did and the later it got the harder for me to get home. The last buses home finished. and taking a night train into the western suburbs is something im not comfortable with. i did it anyway, i had to run from jwow to melbourne central bcoz i was late. i made my train by about 3 seconds. i called twice to book a cab to pick me up from the keilor plains station. i waited by myself paro about all the cars who would drive slowly by. there was a misunderstanding where the cab would pick me up, luckily he beeped so i could follow the sound. the cab driver was noob and nervous he tried to give me the wrong change, whether he meant it or not i dont know. it cost me about $14 to get home. I got home and experienced the downside of having three locks to your front door. I got inside and was happy that i made it home safely. However, I found the hallway door locked - Ate locks the hallway door at night incase of a break in. The only person who wanted in that night was me. I had a light bulb moment to go through the back door but 1 out of 3 of the keys didnt open up! fuuuck. And since my bedroom was accessed through this hallway, i would have to spend the night on a couch. I couldn't brush my teeth or pee either. I slept on the couch. it was cold so i woke up in the middle of the night to put my AA jacket on. trusty AA jacket. the fucking kitchen clock kept ticking in my ear, so i had to get up to put my ipod on. i feel asleep to the Constructus Corporation.

Home Troubles

my last post was made while my family had the biggest fight in Sato history. it all started because I took the car from anio to drive myself to ates. anio, mum and papa came over to fight it out with me and ate was the mediator. i was so angry because it was obvious my parents favoured anio over me. i was yelling so much and papa was getting so pissed at me. mocking and laughing sarcastically at my reasoning. i burst into tears to express my anger. the attention moved to anio and he also got so angry he punched a hole into the wall. punched right through the door and into the wall behind it. it was a fucking massive punch. everyone was so shocked. anio burst into tears. he told my parents how they keep putting him down. he told my mum how he felt when mum told him his body is abnormal, that he looked liek a freak, a criminal, that no one will hire him. he mentioned that every time he tried to do something mum will just tell him he will fail. thats when i came in and backed him up. i reminded mum how she called me hopeless, useless, worthless, good for nothing and how she prefered her work mates kid over me because they studied to be a doctor at uni and i studied design. mum was determined to deny everything she said and that just fucking PISSED me off to the max. ate got involved, reminding mum of the time she told my aunty that ate was 'gaga' (stupid person) for not being maried. ate burst into tears. the more we brought up the past, the more mum denied and denied. everytime she denied i would call out LIAR! LIAR! which she hates
'why would i say that stuff to you? you are my kids?' 'exactly! why would u say that to us?' 'nahh! i never ever said that!' 'why would we make this up? do u think we like to hear this from you?'
fuck you bitch im feeling the anger right now. nothing PISSES me off more than someone who doesnt acknoweldge what theyve done wrong, mum doesnt even acknowledge wat she's said!! it was in her eyes and her heart that she NEVER said these things. she was so adament that we were making this up. mums got some kind of mental disorder. i was so angry that i yelled IM SO FUCKING ANGRY! I JUST WANNA PUNCH YOU! mum shrugged it off and said she didnt care. but this time she said it to the floor. maybe she was effected this time. anio revealed he was gonna move out, he had everything planned and budgeted. thats when my parents started to listen. the fight went for so long, poor papa was becoming confused, upset and less involved as he was at the beginning. papa started weeping, wiping his eyes until he eventually left the room. meanwhile, me and anio were swearing and yelling at my mum. i scream so loud, i cant contain my anger. i take a massive breath then let out the loudest scream until i am out of air. we tell mum her pessimism effects us in the worst ways, how she never approves or congratulates us for the things we accomplish, tells us off for the things we havent accomplished, believes that the only thing to life is the peice of paper that says we graduated from uni. i remember telling her 'the only reason i went to uni is because of you! i wanted to drop out last year but i didnt because of you. ur paying for my hecs fees' she said if we were so effected by all these things, then why didnt we tell her? we mention how difficult it was to talk to her. i reminded her of the time she put me down so much i broke down crying in front of her and if that wasnt enough she came over to hit me several times. no mercy bitch. i told her you're the only one who isn't crying. why is that? its because you have a heart made of cold stone. if i got a hammer and hit it, it wouldn't break. papa came out crying then embraced anio in a hug. he was saying how much he loved anio, that anio was a good kid and anio prolly wasnt doing all the bad things his friends does. that he trusts anio and if he was to move out, papa will miss him just as papa missed ate when she moved out. anio was crying and apologizing and papa told him not to apologise. i felt sorry for my dad, he was getting himself into deep distress, have his children move out all because his wife was a total stubborn bitch. i told him twice that:
i love you papa but i hate mum.
mum had her straight face on and shrugged it off like she didnt care. i told her me and anio will move out and that she and papa can be alone in that big empty house. she said she didnt care. ate, papa, and anio embraced each other in a hug and cried. it was a pretty sad sight. i was on the couch trying to calm down on this computer. i noticed no one was hugging mum. 'no one's hugging you mum because no one loves you.' ' i dont care' this fight was going for too long. mum saracastically says shes sorry, that everything is her fault. that its always the parents to blame. she brought up how hard she worked to bring us up as little kids, she was taking offence to her parenting - but it was only the negativity that we were angry about. mum doesnt understand. she says shes sorry, i told her that she wasnt. 'what are u sorry about?' "i dont know" 'how do u think it makes me feel when you call me 'abnormal'? mum shrugs her shoudlers again. I HATE IT how she doesnt even know what shes doing wrong. 'dont shrug ur shoulders answer him!" the fight came to an end. the last thing i said to mum was 'piss off mum! go home, have a cry and think about what you did' im pretty happy we had that fight. ate kept telling me to calm down while i was fighting but i told her we'll never get this chance again. and im probably right. if she doesnt admit shes wrong then at least she knows what we hate her. the only victim here is papa. poor papa. A few hours later i went home with ate and packed three bags of my shit. uni shit, clothes, toiletries and makeup. im staying at ates house in the meantime. i would love to move out here but im unconvinced that ate wants me here for good. ive always had a feeling she likes living alone. i hope i can stay for a while until i can get enough money to living inner city. tom says: 'come party with the cool kids' how i aspire to party with the cool kids :)

Sarcastic Flight Centre Bitch

Flight Centre has forged a reputation of friendly, professional and affordable travel bookers. Here is an exert from the 'About Us' section of their website:
At Flight Centre we are committed to providing great travelat the cheapest available price. Our consultants are experienced, highly trained experts, dedicated to finding the best travel dealfor any destination and any budget. They are widely travelled and enthusiastic about travel.
Everything they are NOT. This is the second time we've dealt with Flight Centre and on both occasions, at different branches, I've found the travel agents incompetent and this time a bitch.
Vman's looking for quotes to fly return from Melbourne to Bacolod. Ingrid, the travel agent, does not hear Bacolod, she hears Borocay, a popular tourist destination in Philippines.
"I'm just going to check Philippine Airlines and not bother with the rest okay?"
Flight Centre 'guarantees the cheapest airfare' and she only wants to check Philippine Airlines? Is that because its the only airline you know flies to Philippines? Vman tells her he wants to fly on the 26th and arrive back on the 13th. She finds us a flight to Manila, but thats the easy job. How about to Bacolod? She tells us she will look for a connecting flight with Philippine Airlines. Ingrid doesn't know it will cost less to book with a local airline.
Ingrid: "You will fly to Borocay on the ..."
Vman: "I don't want to go to Borocay, I want to go to Bacolod"
Ingrid: *LOLs* "Oh yes, Back-o-lod.. You will leave on the 25th.."
Vman: "I want to leave on the 26th"
Ingrid: "What day do you want to fly??? You said the 26th... Your flight departs on the 26th at 1:00am so obviously you will need to leave on the 25th. You need to pack, and be at the airport before 1:00am. Check in needs time. So you will leave on the 26th"
What Gridbitch?? You were wrong. Don't be hasty because we caught you out. She quotes us $1,320. We mention thats too expensive.
GridBitch: Well you ARE flying six different flights
Me: It's still to expensive. We found it cheaper else where. We want the cheapest.
GridBitch: NOooOOOoo, you want the most expensive!
Sarcasm, really? At customers who might actually know better than you. Gridbitch won't learn anything new if she keeps that know-it-all attitude. We tell her we found $500 return on jetstar. She tries to find it online too. she says all jetstar flights will be accessible for her as it is for us. Except she doesnt find it.
She gives us a printed quote for $1,320. She can go shove that up her ass.
GridBitch topped off her fail with incorrect spellings of Philippines on the quote sheets. There were more wrong spellings on the promotional DVD that was playing. Everyone makes spelling mistakes, BUT NOT WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO BE PROFESSIONAL IN FRONT OF CLIENTS YOU CORRECT WITH YOUR KNOW IT ALL ATTITUDE.
And the only reason why Flight Centre 'guarantees the lowest price' is because they only beat competitors by $1. ONE DOLLAR. Letting competitors do all the work? Fail.
Note to incompetent Flight Centre travel agents:

Kickin' It Old Skool

No matter how advanced this world is becoming, I loove keeping it old skool. Old skool means meaningful, sentimental. Old skool means appreciating the way things were originally done, and therefore not taking things for granted. Old skool means simple people with simple needs, which equates to a healthier environment not destroyed by our compulsive and disgusting greed for more, more, more! yuck. mum's a perfect example of compulsive and disgusting greed. her hobbies include:
  1. Sifting through junkmail and listing down bargains at the local store
  2. Driving out to the store, buy all the the things on the list, in every colour please
  3. Go home, assess the purchases, call up some people and tell them, then either
  4. Go back to the store and return it because the status quo do not approve or
  5. Go back to the store to buy papa, anio, ate, tata and everyone else one too
Mum gets me to do her dirty 'return/exhange' work sometimes. At times i accept, other times i reject. She gets me to do her dirty work when she's too embarassed to go back, because she's already been there twice. My mum is everything I do not want to be when I grow old and saggy. Today I had jwow work. 10 hour shift. My eye make up, in particular my eye shadow stayed on for 12 hours. The free eye shadow i got from the Sunshine chemist because my mum discussed superstitious techniques on successful baby making with the Pharmacist. The lovely Israli girl at Da Vinci Mineral Makeup at Watergardens showed me how to apply two colours of eye shadow and make them fade into each other. I'm getting better at it. Today my eye lids were dark and light pink. It was so pretty I might even do it tomorrow. Working with Nai Zi, Helen and Joel today. what a good team we make. they made a make-shift bed on one of the shelves in the storage room - complete with pillow and phone reception. Apparently its comfy. I didnt get any dickheads today. Except for one... I dream of lunging at his neck with my fingernails over the counter til his arteries puncture and squirt. Except that's a fantasy..
and it won't come true. We've never even spoke and your man still love you
sorry, LL Cool J break out. LL Cool J feat. Boyz II Men - Hey Lover I asked Nai Zi to help me list movies that are life changing and sentimental, movies that may affect your outlook on daily life. My shit:

Australian Open

My parents cant stop themselves bitching. About anything and everyone. Even me, right after I say something bitch-worthy like "The flash on my camera doesn't work". Papa runs to mum in the study, whispers something about what I said, oh and don't bother closing the door, and mum replies in her usual loud voice. I end up knowing what is said anyway.
HAVE SOME FUCKING RESPECT BITCHES.
Anyway, that fully ruined my very enjoyable day. It was my first time going to the Australian Open today. I got burnt in the sun, sitting in the open from 12-4pm. I got a tan line aorund my shorts and vman got an ugly tshirt tan line. We watched 2 double matches and 1 singles match. It was nice to see the typical sports fanatic Australians. Girls in shorts and bikini tops, guys topless with shorts and slippers. Tanned or sunburnt bodies. Mexican wave attempts here and there, cheer squads with prepared material, nice people, ahhh.. it was a good day. Today, I was proud to be an Australian. I wish Sheila was here to see the Australian spirit. You would not only passionately rep your ethnic culture, but also answer back to the
AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE!! OI! OI! OI!
It proves multiculturalism is very much part of being an Australian. did i mention i ordered a die antwoord tshirt from the official site? i paid a rip off $18 for postage, the tshirt cost me $25. its going to arrive at my house 8-29 days.. it will be a pleasant surprise once it arrives because by then, i would have totally forgotten about it. I got a white tee, small, with yolandi sitting on a medieval chair with her legs spread, wearing nothing but a blue baggy jumper, ninja is doing some gangsta pose beside her, topless - as usual

Pathetic & Immature Tantrums

Just had a fight with my mum. My throat hurts from shouting at her... ouuu sore throat. She refuses to help me dye my hair, despite her expertise in dying her hair from white to dark brown, in protest. She doesn't want my hair to be red. Well fuck you bitch. It's my hair and my life. I'm sorry I asked for help.

Summer Cleaning

I'm fucking tired. I only had 1hr sleep last night, i feel asleep just as my alarm went off to wake up. Full cleaning today at Jwow. It was like those TV shows where they turn a bomb stricken house into something brand spanking new. Floor boards look nice and since the wine's out, everything is so much more spacious. I was so tired i fell asleep on the State Library Lawns and got bitten by more mosquitos.
Mosquito Bite Tally: 009
I needed a ride home from Waterg's. I call mum who tells me to take the bus. What's the point in offering rides if you're just gonna tell me to take the bus??? I decide to go to vman's house which is closer than my house. It will take me about 20minutes to walk. The Bus leaves in 20minutes. So i decide to walk. Its 27 degrees, spitty with rain, humid, cloudy/gloomy but hot. My clothes are drenched in sweat. I keep looking behind me to see if any weirdos are following me. I'm so paranoid, I can't help it. I walk through a small alley way, the kind of alley way where girls get raped. This man is walking behind me. He takes the same turns as I do. I think he's following me, but I've got my phone in hand and I put away my ipod so I can hear his steps. He wolf whistles at me, I turn a corner. He disappears.
I walk past a house, there is a man smoking outside. He says 'Ni Hao', Mandarin for 'hello'. I ignore him. He says it louder as I pass 'Ni hao!'. Ignore.
I find out im walking around in circles. I got confused with Hume Drive and Kings Road they look the same, fucking. I found out I did a U-y around the train station, and another around Rose Hedge Park. I pass the same walker twice, except I wasn't walking for exercise, I was LOST!! What should've taken me 20 minutes took me 40. My tummy, chest and back are sweating. I get to vmans house, eat a large slice of lasagna, watch 1 eposoide of the Simpsons and Futurama ( I Love Leela) and conk out on vman's bed. I hate vman's bed. I wake up miserable with neck or back pains. I don't know how one can get used to it. I'll shut up with my complaining now that I've gotten it out. I got paid today, WOO. I downloaded my second movie. It's called Tais-Toi a french comedy about two people who escape from prison. I'm downloading a few other movies. One called Delicatessen (really looking forward to it). and I wanna watch City of Lost Children. These two movies have something in common:
black/dark comedy, surrealism, horror, fantasy, experimental
Check this song out, James played it at Jwow today. It's so smooth and sexy. Something you slow walk too down a pier on during a summer sunset in nothing but high heels, white bikini with shiny gold trimming, loosely covered with a white sarong that reveals sexy tanned skin with the gentle blow of the wind. Curren$y - Famous
