Live Fast Die Young Bad Girls Do It Well

My company, on behalf of the Melbourne Central management team, awards me with another voucher for my hard work during the month of March. It was signed by the CEO himself. I have a total of two vouchers that I haven't used since November and its a little annoying. There is nothing I like and I'm not the type to just spend for the sake of wasting money/voucher. It looks like I am collecting these vouchers. Im not! I wish I could spend it as soon as I got it!

I worked at D today and man I COULD NOT BE FUCKED. Within the last minutes of arriving at work, I was skipping furiously through the hip hop songs on my ipod. I needed something to inspire me today so I can feel better about going to work. I needed something to think about, I needed meaning to my life and then it came.

'Why do bad things happen? It's because life is a constant battle between good and bad'

I dont want to elaborate on how lazy I was today in case I'll get in trouble. There is so much I want to say about my work places that I cannot say here for their privacy reasons. I think I need to create a journal just dedicated to it. But damn, wouldn't you like to know?

I always have fun at D. I love the people I work with and the occasional shit customer. Ugh. They are so rude to you at the beginning and its soooooo good when they come up to you, eyes begging for your assistance. Beg bitch because I ain't helping you otherwise. In fact, I'm totally gonna ignore you I dont care you fucking cunt. It's the sales assistant vs. customers and although the customers almost always get their way (e.g. taking complaints up to higher management) it is initially a fight between 1 (customer) to 15 (team members) and we go into the reserves where you cant hear us and bitch the brown shit out of you. Its kinda intimidating when most sale assistants ignore you for what you've done.

I met a friends boyfriend today. He didnt understand the concept of shoe collecting. 'Is it something like, stamp collecting?'

Yes, friend.

Thursday I worked at Southwharf and bagged me up two pairs of shoes. Southwharf's a fucking bitch to get to via public transport. Takes me about 1 hour. Dont do it. I been spending so much lately that I feel its pointless to stop myself. Why? I've already gone this far, why not another step? It's like, murdering someone. You may hide the body, why not? You're already in trouble. And then you take a further step and think, why not cut the body up? It will making hiding the body easier. Then you think...

Okay. Enough about that.

I arrived home about 7:30pm that night after sleeping on the train home and waking up only to stop myself from drooling and to get off at the right train stop. I took a shower and went straight to sleep with very wet hair. That was just before 8pm.

I heard sleeping with wet hair gives you head aches and bad dreams. I had a bad dream. I was alone in the ghetto streets of Old Manila, Philippines. I was wearing a short skirt and singlet, waaay to exposed for a foreigner like me. I'd get raped. I needed to get home except I didnt find the streets familiar. Everyone was looking and talking quietly about me as I walked. I came to a public transport station and lined up at a train ride for kids. The guy spoke to me in tagalog, do you want to ride this? I shook my head, afraid to comfirm that I was a foreigner by speaking english, and pointed to the taxi's. She wants to pay, a stranger lady said. I believe she was helping me out. The man said, if you want to pay for a taxi, go over there to the taxi driver. I looked from the man to the lady to the taxi driver. At that point I wanted to cry because I didnt know who to trust, which path to take that would not get me raped. I woke up suddenly with my heart beating so fast. I couldnt get back to sleep til about 45 minutes after that. I rarely have ad dreams, even more rarely wake up to them. What is my subconscious trying to tell me? Tell me!!

I woke up on Friday morning at 11am only because Phuong called me. That was an epic 15 hours of sleep. I woke up refreshed as fuck, not tired or groggy at all! I think I needed that. I was to have fish and chips and cider for breakfast in Kealba. I wasn't really feeling the cider that early in the morning after that much sleep. My petrol light is flashing because I am almost at the empty mark. Commooon just a little bit further!!

Home Alone. Nuggets for dinner

Asos gear: Orange jogger pants and navy crop top
Ishka snake necklace

I go to St. Albans for a Vietnamese coffee. Then home. My Asos delivery arrived four days early. Sumpai. Clean the house a little. Watch TV and then rushtogetready because I need to take this train in 20minutes with phuong. I was going to meet up with James/MJ to check out this new place. I ring James 'MJ says to get your cute nose here right now' I'm cominggg!!!

I get checked for I.D. as usual. As usual they dont believe the person in the photo is me. I change too much. I show my bank card to prove the bank card, and every other card in my wallet matched the name on my drivers license.

Ferdydurke is by the same management team that do Section 8. It was their opening night and I fucking loved the place. So much potential and I'm happy I got to see it before, in a few weeks time, I'll be disappointed for not being allowed in. It's a tiny tiny space and even on the opening night when it wasnt even full house, there was lines outside. They didnt even send out the advertising. James said the bar wasnt furnished completely.

I can imagine the existing building presented a lot of architectural restrictions. I saw this with the oddly shaped and placed windows and new brick work connected to the old brick work. Timber walls and window sills, yellow lighting, collaged street wall art, real plants, candle light and a glass staircase landing so the bottom floor people can see up at girl's skirts. Dirty Joe. This place is going to be massive.

I met Ren the manager, served by real friendly and smiling-for-no-reason staff and got to see the Jwowers again. I thank the long blonde haired bartender who looked like Joel for making my drink pretty. I meet quiet a few randoms and friends of friends. People were saying they liked my style and one girl, Chantelle, said 'you're rockin' it guurrrrl' as we danced on the floor. I got so many compliments that night I was sincerely embarrassed and dumbfounded for words.

I'm getting used to paying for alcohol since I have no bartender connections anymore. I must make new ones. I'm happy to make Ferdy the new jwow. I drank a total of 8 standard drinks and I felt tipsy for a few moments the most. I didnt get to the level I wanted even though I was mixing heavily. Damn you liver. Why do you work so well.

We went to Noodle Kingdom, Swanston, which has recently taken the space of the old club x joint (yuck) for dumplings. I had about three and felt like vomiting. I washed it with beer. There was a lot of beer swapping and beer pouring into other people's bottles and I felt like vomiting even more. They didnt bring out two of our dishes, which worked out for us because we didnt want it anyway. I checked that they didnt charge us on the bill which they didnt, but they did charge us for chinese tea that no one ordered. DODGEY.

We went back to Ferdy which I left prematurely to Red Hummingbird to meet up with my sister. We smiled at each other, hugged each other and took photos with each other to the extent that made Dave say 'you guys live together but its like you're never gonna see each other again'. Just take the photo! >=[

Blue Diamond,
123 Queens Street, Melbourne

This joint is 15 levels up from ground and the views were pleasant. The guy at the door tried to jib us by trying to get us to pay entry fee. We didnt need to because entry before 8pm was free. We took the lift up. The place was everythng I wanted jwow to be. Red carpet, red yellow lighting, art deco cocktail framed images on the wall.. there was a live band and the bartenders wore white shirts, vests and suspenders. In saying that, I wouldnt come to this place again. It was full of 30 year old - 60 year old people. If I was dressed casually Id feel insecure. The young guy at the door was wearing an old mans hat and wore a really cool suit (grey with orange pipe lining) something that only Maliek could pull off.
This is the kinda place where the bitchy old lady/customer from today would go and sip wine by herself and wait for a rich mafia boss to sweep her off her feet.

There were a young group of top shit girls next to me. They asked the bartender if they served ABC shots. Really?? You think a place like this would do shots? And you think they would do ABC shots??? ABC shots are for people who wanna get fucked up fast and cheap. I turned my head to see what kind of people asked for them. Yep. I could have guessed.

Lions Hotel,
Melbourne Central, Melbourne

This place has NOT changed. Even the security guards and owners are the same as five years ago when I first started coming here. I cant believe how this place has stayed the same. Its a young uni crowd, tshirts jeans, sneakers, kids getting thrown out of the place, bartenders in shorts so short you can make our the bum cheek, older men with greasy hair perving on the young girls.. It was packed as fuck and I felt like suffocating inside trying to look for my friends. Vman hated this place. He's always hated it. He wanted to leave asap because the place and people had pissed him off. A dramatic change of atmosphere from Blue Diamond.

You Are Average

And I'm looking for extraordinary
This wouldnt work out
I'm sorry

That Thursday

Work 9-5pm. I couldn't wait for it to end and my weekend to begin. I told my 2IC that work today is going to fly. And it felt like it did.

I finished. I went to James' house in Flemington to drink cider on his balcony as the sun sets over til 7pm. I am late for dinner. I am tipsy drinking as much as I can in the time it takes for james to get ready. I introduce Brian into mixing gin with cider with lime. I automatically wipe the rim of the glass with the lime because I miss bartending. It's just in my blood. We got into the car and proceeded to drive. James had the most brillant idea to pack what he called a 'traveller' which I thought was a pack of clothes in case I needed to crash somewhere. He meant I should bring with me a bottle of cider to take for the road. I thanked him for being so considerate.

The Mess Dining Hall, Bourke Street
I ran into the restaurant and all my work friends turned around. They knew I was tipsy. They kept commenting on what I wore. They were all prettied up in their black short dresses and high heels. I was in my 80's Adidas jacket, chains and purple velvet sneakers. 'You look gang as yo' During the times when no one spoke to me, I watched the video of the cute kitty over and over again.

Rooftop Bar, Swanston Street
I was worried I wouldnt get in because i was in sneakers. I didnt know how dressed up you had to be to get into rooftop. Vesna asked 'why didnt you bring shoes?' I tell her 'this is what I wear when I go out'. We got in and I drank sangria and some vodka.

Lounge Bar, Swanston Street
I meet up again with James, Brian and Rebecca. The place wasn't as packed as I thought it would be for an event. Perhaps it was the entry fee. MJ did however hook us up with free entry so we sure made the most of it. I was dancing with Rebecca and commented on her Tony Bianco shoes. Chic in Natural Chicago leather. A flattering shoe that I wish to get in the black suede. It's been a long while since I been to Lounge Bar. Nothing's changed, its still as trashy as it used to be. I used to go there with an old bf fore the $11 beer jugs when beer drinking was my thing. A total of two drunk guys stumbled back and knocked the tables into our legs. One of the guys actually fell on top of our table and onto glasses which shattered everywhere.

I found the music to be weird, just as I thought it was at the Croft when DJ Flagrant and M-Phases was playing. It's not really my thing to listen to. It was a relief to be outside on the balcony. Although it wasn't good to have my lungs infected with blue grade cigarette smoke and have my hair smell like that too.

Ty: So what's going on down there with that red dress?

He spotted her from a mile away. Ty's always smiling curiously at me like he knows all my dirty secrets and he likes what he knows. Haha. It was good seeing my favourite happy DJ's Amin and Ty after so long. Just hoping it wont be so long til next time.

Pretty soon me and James were passing out so we decided to get home. Kebabless.

The four of us caught a cab together. I thought it would be cheaper that we make two stops because James/Brian/Rebecca was on the way to my home. But it ended up being the same as if I had gone home/paid by myself because the cabbie got lost damnit.

I make a few drunk calls and text. Customary to my drunken fridays and saturdays. I dont think I'm annoying. I think people should be honored I'm thinking about them when I'm off my face. I make a drunk call to Dave when I get home. Its about 3am, so hey, what are you doing?? Sky diving.

Good Friday

I wake up at 1:30pm and freak out because for a second I thought I was late for work. My room is such a mess by the end of the week. When I wake up groggy on a Saturday/Sunday morning, it doesnt help to wake up to a messy room. Damn I'm so thirsty and hungry but there was nothing in the fridge. Theres a BBQ at vmans but when I look outside my driveway, I realise I have no car. I have to catch a bus to the train station to collect it. I hate wishing that my car will still be at the train station after leaving it there overnight. Why cant people do the right thing?

Luckily my car is still there. The streets on Good Friday are abandoned and the wind was strong but warm. No one was walking around. It was kinda eerie. I drive to vmans house after I wash the cigarette smoke in my hair only to have it soaked up with BBQ smoke. Ugh.

Messy room

Vmans got this little portable BBQ which he prefers to use over his big ass legit proper BBQ. He marinated chicken and pork with honey. He stuffed snapper (fish) and squid with tomato and onions and we BBQ everything. Vmans on this low/no carb diet so it's the first time I tried brown rice. It's different.. I dont like it. White all the way.

Hair

Garage BBQ.
Eat meat.
 Good Friday

I do myself a maccas run and the guy at the counter recognises me from high school. I am ever so surprised when people recognise me. I am forever changing.

Annoying Things

I had to file down the callous on my finger tips from working so hard because they caught and ripped my stockings today.

My work stressed me out and pissed me off. Cant you DO things for YOURSELF??

I went into the japanese department store on Bourke street and found the most useless gimmicky things in the smallest amount of space. If we were to play a game, where we had to buy each other the most useless /random/unlikely thing in the world I would surely win:

  • Scented sticky tape to put on walls to catch and keep flies (imagine peeling that sticky tape off and staring at your collection of dead flies) 'oh my house is so clean!'
  • Fake crow to scare the birds away
  • Plastic spikey tiles which shows a cartoon of  cat stepping on it and in pain (morbid)
  • Spectacle holder lined with faux leather
  • Miniature tool set
  • hankerchief to wrap your lunch in like the good old days
  • cases for your chop sticks
  • double eye lid maker glue

Its even funnier because there is no english on these packages. You have to go by the playful cartoon characters who demonstrate the use of the product. Sometimes there are handy little translation papers that the sales assistants stick on the racks. They say things like 'Double Eye Lid Maker' or 'Great Popularity!' along with a cute cartoon with highlighter borders. Definitely a culture clash here. We went to a Korean/chinese hair and beauty shop. Absolutely EVERYTHING was in non-english. There werent even prices on them. Where the packaging didnt portray 12 yo looking asian girls with large eyes, eyelashes and double eye lids there were manga cartoons e.g. mascara packaging - manga cartoon. I cant relate to a manga character when I am looking for a good mascara. I want to know what im putting on my face and im not trusting a blonde fob girl to translate for me. And its not like these girls offer to help you anyway. They just follow you to make sure you dont steal shit. How do these people make money in Australia? Why are you being so racist-exclusive??

Double packaging or useless/gimmick items annoy me. At design school we have to design with as little as possibile, only use what is needed, include what is necessary. The rest is useless junk which creates more physical waste or confuse people with indirect messages (in terms of excessive use of graphic elements). WHY do things need to be double packaged?? WHY?!

Make a stance. If you see a shit advertisement or any shit/unappealing/misleading/confusing/ugly communication design piece just ignore it because design is the fight against all these things. The fact that you paid attention to it is more than it deserves. A good design piece should be self-explanatory, you shouldnt need to stand there in confusion trying to figure it out. Design is a fight against waste, inefficiency, disorganisation, miscommunication or any unnecessary communication pain we think we need to experience before the end result is achieved.

Getting Paid To Be Nocturnal

I'm siiiiiickkk! Argh Fuck you!! So frustrating. I cant sleep. Plus this weather is tripping me out. Its gloomy, windy but its 29 degrees? This morning I was up at 6am, it was pitch blackness and a little windy. I check my phone to see the temperature outside, I knew it was going to be chilly, I wanna know how chilly? My phone says 21 degrees. What?? I dont believe it. I refresh it twice and after getting the same response I go outside in my undies and have a feel. Sure feels like 21 degrees. I walk out of the house in a thin dress.. I felt weird.. I felt I needed to bring a jacket for the sake of bringing a jacket.

It was 7/11 $1 day today. I met Jess at the 7/11 on Lonsdale/Swanston street. The poor guy was scanning up all the chip packets because Jess wanted to see which chips were $1. None. I bought a Mother and a block of Areo. $2 Thanks! I had three dim sims and an up&go for lunch consumed in 20 minutes. Woo. I was shattered that my not-so-boiled egg cracked all over my green grapes. Shit mangz.

We spent more than 3 hours Visual Merchandising the entire store today. It was fun and I'm more confident at it. At first I was afraid to play around, I was scared of critizism. Now I learn how to think like 'Jess' and ask her what she's thinking, why did you put that there and not there?

I finished at 12pm. Wow Again I was tripping out, this is the time some people are waking up. My ideal full time shifts would have to be a 7-3pm shift. Even though I had minimal sleep, fuck it. Being tired but finishing early is the SHIT.

I prefer to start at 7am and catch the 634am train. Its dark, quiet, no one's on the roads or trains.. I can almost do whatever the fuck I want. No one knows who I am. It feels like I am living a nocturnal life. Oww yeh.

I'm listening to this album that I am so glad I got. Erick Sermon Breath of Fresh Air. I judged it by the cover art and read reviews on a hip hop site. Then taste tested a few songs. They sounded right up my alley. This album is so good I cant help but gangsta lean in the shower when its playing.

Now here's a fucking gangsta beat.

Recently

Monday - Friday:
Working to collecting my riches and millions. Worked at Spencer Street and bumped into my younger god sister who once was innocent and now is all tight clothing, no underwear, long bleached hair, tatted up and manager of YD. Visited Phuong who also works at Spencer and bought a cute $44 black italian leather triangular back pack that can be carried in multiple ways.

I decided on Sunday that if my work allows it, I will go on holiday with Helen, Dave and friends in May to Korea, Taiwan, HK and Macau. I finally worked up the courage to ask my manager after five days. When i got the okay i immediately msged dave and helen.. IM GONNA BOOK MY TICKETS TONIGHT MF!

Helen ended up booking me the tickets the next day, Saturday. Flights and accomo all up less than $2K and I've allowed $2K spending money. I dont like setting spending limits when I'm on holiday because I want to live comfortably and feel like I'm on holiday so $2K spending is not all that I have. I like to let myself go crazy.

Tickets booked

I worked at Jwow 9pm - 2pm and did my shift 100% sober bc we were under the watchful eye of Michael's spies.

Saturday:
woke up at 840am cursing because I didnt get to sleep til 1pm on my first day off of the week. We had to meet Sheila at MC at 10am because we were scheduled for a 1030am melbourne tourist tour starting from Fed Square. Tour went for 2.5hrs and we walked from Flinders to the Yarra to State Library to Carlton Gardens. It was a shit day, gloomy, cloud, drizzling, puddles a little wind but at least it wasnt cold and I was wearing my timbs. It was a timbs day. We each had our umbrellas. For once, I appreciated this shit weather. It was kinda nice walking around melbourne, learning about aboriginal and settlement history in the light rain.. I really enjoyed it. and the tour was FREE!

We had brunch at this little cute cafe on lt bourke in between queen and elizabeth that did all day breakfast. The frontier of the shop is completely opened so you can feel the weather outside on the inside and watch the people as they passed. the place is kooky, walls decorated with twisting poison ivy and tables decorated with pot plants. I like it there. Bushwa and Hooey - cute name.

We took sheila to the bank to settle her bank issues, then to RMIT so she can see her future school. We also visited Myer and I avoided familiar faces. DAMN their sales are good. $10 shoes!! Plus my discount ;) I bought some stockings because shit was 65%. four stockings for $23. We went to MC and got our hair cuts. I went shorter at the back and damn i love short hair.

Why I love short hair:
  • Less maintenance, less money spend on products, easier to dry and wash
  • Less precious with hair, I feel like I can go crazy with cuts and colour
  • Good for summer
  • I like scrunching up my hair for that messy look and putting it over my face

I also got my concession card done. YES!

Before

After

We went home and Ate made us soup. I fell asleep on the couch with my blanket and woke up to Areo chocolates. Working hard Mon-Fri makes you appreciate the little things in life like warm soup on a winter's night and falling asleep in front of the TV. WTF have I become??

Dinner with my blanket

Only slept for 30minutes but I was surprisingly refreshed and ready to fist pump. I drop sheila off at mums house so she can sleep in a bed, fill up and drove to the city by myself for the first time to meet up with Drunk Dave who at first was pissing me off because he was drunk and I was sober. I told him to sober up and get on my level, please. We went to Ondergrounds to drink water and talk. Then to Noodle Kingdom to get the first fried pork dumplings of the year then to Ballarat Road, Footscray Maccas for seriously, the BEST big mac burger ive ever tasted but served by the most depressed staff. This burger was certainly facebook status worthy.

I got me a mad parking on Lt. Lonsdale Street.

Sunday:
Got home at 4am. Got to wake up at 1130am today. I wanted one more hour sleep. Needed to go to Mum's birthday lunch at Watergardens Hotel all you can eat buffet. I dont like all you can eat buffet because I can only eat one plate.. unless I practice my old technique of vomiting my first plate and then going back for more. But that would still mean I only eat two plates. Plus the food there aint that flash.

I go home and change into something more comfortable. I contemplate getting a belly piercing. One hour later I am hungry again so we go to st. albans for some spring rolls and chinese tea.

Today is 26 degrees. Summer
Yesterday was Winter.

2nd Storey Doors to the outside need no platforms.

I am excited for life right now.
Cancel suicide plans.

Did You Think I Was Gone Forever?

I went and lived somewhere else for a bit but now I'm back. I've been thinking, although I'd rather distance myself with these shit people, I do wanna continue what I do and keep the same residency for all my viewers.

Love and respect for people who love and respect me.

This week was full of ups and downs.

I found out on Tuesday that my best friend since high school is pregnant and due in August. Me and phuong will be aunties! I was so shocked when I heard the news, I hear most of my news from Whatsapp. At first i thought she was joking, but she has been in the U.S for ~6months with her boyfriend.

Marc's last day at Jwow was on Friday. One of the Ubings is leaving, the jwow is dying and work is getting less fun. So we were drinking as usual. 3 out of 4 people who I asked to visit me pulled through. Ate, Jack and their friends came in. I got to make them surprise drinks. Luckily for them they werent so educated in the cocktail scene so I was blowing their minds and tastebuds with classic cocktails. Thanks Jen! This is yum! What's this? Can you be my bartender at my next party? Sure! Pay me $50, no $100!

They went up to Match Bar for more drinks and I went with. They were all tripping out because they thought I was working. I am, this is what I do when I work. Stand around, make drinks, drink them, go to Match and do free shots. Ahhhh what a job.

Im so happy that my favourite bartender is back in action, except now he's managing Match! I admire the talent of a bartender who can mix together any drink instantaneously. Hey Kris, gimme something really sour. Kris, gimme something coconut. Kris is always nice enough to hook me up with free drinks even when I bring my friends in. Ate and her friends notice this and thought I was the coolest guy out.

Fav cousin came in who we persuaded to wait for us to close so he could drive me home. But before that, we went to a Secret Society of Koreans where after a certain time, the venue can no longer legally sell alcohol but continue to do so. The only way you can get in is through a dark rape alley line with mysterious dark solid doors. It is the unmanned door at the very end of the alley with steel jail bars. You will have to be Korean or have the secret phone number to the place so someone will open the door for you. It's amazing.

Inside there are ping pong tables, a golf scene, pool tables, a band set up (piano), karoke and a gramaphone. They sell Korean and western alcohol as well as Korean food. Dave and friend were giggling like children while me, helen and yao kept our cool like we've been here a hundred times.

I got home at about 5am and pretty much fell straight to sleep. I woke up at 1:30pm today which meant I had 8.5hrs sleep. Since I'm used to 6 max a week, I felt so sluggish and tired like I had overslept. I had 1.5 bbq pork rolls for breakfast at Chilli Deli, St. Albans which shits all over Tan Tan bakery. Then went to Fantastic Furniture and picked up my car at Keilor Plains station that I had left over night. It was a 37 degree day and I was dreading getting into my car. I opened the door. Standing a couple steps back from the car I could already feel the surge of hot air against my skin. Ugh.

I drove home and napped again. Woke up to my sister who prepared me a steak sanga. Then left to meet up with Phuong and Ace who were drinking up at a Cairnlea park. Ahh high school days when we didnt have a house or a room to drink at because our parents would get angry...  the stars where visible and the weather at 12am was nice and cool. we left when they couldnt drink any more cider.

I went with Bard to get a shisha hit and actually got to know the guy. He's completely turned around my first impressions of him being a superficial, cool guy tech-head. He was telling me about his travels and unexpected adventures with random locals and it makes me want to go to America. We did a kebab run where I paid $10 for a Hawaiian kebab (complete with pineapple, chicken, mushroom, capsicum and garlic sauce). It weighed 1 kg and I didnt finish it.

So my work place is most likely going to offer me a full time position. Id rather say casual and earn more money. People talk about full time benefits such as guaranteed work hours, sick and annual leave and superannuation. But I'm rarely sick, rarely away on holiday and superannuation gets paid to me even on a casual rate. Casual rates are heaps more and for the guaranteed hours, if they are prepared to offer me full time then that means the full time hours are there. I like the flexibility and unpredictability of a casual job. I liked working more than one job and switching shit around so every week was different.

I worked at another store on friday. I did 10-1:30pm at Melbourne central and spent my 30 minute lunch break making my way to spencer street and doing 2-5pm there. Technically, I worked all day with no break, food or even water. My stupid water bottle spilt everywhere on the train journey to work and i couldnt fill up at work because there's sand in that water.

I felt good working at Spencer street. The manager there was very grateful and she wanted me to come back because she thought I was a strong worker. All I did was unpacked stock and was dealing with customers minimally, but she still saw the good in me. It's difficult to find good workers, even weeding them out through the interview process. You won't know a person's shit until they're actually employed and working for two weeks.

I saw my godsister that day who is 3 years younger and has always been innocent. She grew up with strict filo parents who sadly divorced. Natalie is now manager of YD and is all tattooed up with long bleached hair and tight clothing wearing. She's totally different. She makes me think, fuck if she dont give a fuck about being precious with her body and holding back on tattoos then what am I waiting for???

Now That I'm Sober You Ain't That Fine

Success is when your no means no and your yes means yes
and you can stick to your word
I want everyone to get fucked up with me.
I've got 32 minutes before the battery of my laptop runs out. That means I have 32 minutes to blog. Today at work I was busy. Our 20 max box delivery turned out to be 35 boxes + the 12 box unexpected delivery from Spencer Street. I work continuously without a lunch break so I can leave just that little bit early. It's good leaving before 4pm because I dont hit peak hour trains. Although you do hit school kids on the train home.
A thought occurred to me at work today as I was shifting shoe boxes around. Something I said to vman before we became boyfriend and girlfriend but after we had already gotten together. I told him becoming boyfriend/girlfriend is pointless because the next stage of that process is to either get over each other and break up or get married. Both seemed like dead end options to me so why start something that was gonna hit a brick wall anyway? Vman was annoyed with my explanation. He gave the example of his brother and his girlfriend, they have been together for ~15 years and have three children together, and a house.
The idea of falling in love and staying in love with the same person for the rest of your life is difficult for me to grasp. Feelings and circumstances are always changing, how can you feel the same way about that person forever? You might feel that you can for a few moments, your heart will really believe that this is the truth. Give it a few years and see if your feelings are still strong. Its amazing how some couples can stay together happily ever after, its rare to see old couples still in love.
I'm not saying that unconditional love does not exist because I'm a lover not a hater. I am saying that unconditional love and staying happily in love with one person for years is an occurrence that happens maybe once in 100 couples. Or more.
Being the hopeful, ambitious and idealistic me, I am surprised at my pessimistic stance towards committed long term relationships. I suspect it takes root from past failed relationships where I was the one who was fully in love and dedicated and then devastatingly shut down. I hated it. I hate rejection after offering myself the way I did. I hated giving my time, effort.. everything they wanted because I loved them so much and have it come to an end because they wanted it to. Ugh. The way I see it, if I give them emotional significance, I am giving them a chance to stab me in the back and trusting them not to. Oh how I felt like shit when they betrayed me. Now in relationships I am the one who cares the least. I choose people who want me more than I want them, or if vice versa at least I won't show it. Never again because I'm scared of giving my all and getting fucked up again.

My Room's Not As Messy As It Used To Be

I had such a good weekend. I cant believe I partied two nights in a row, not that I'm saying I'm so hardcore.. I havent done that in YEARS. I felt good today.. I felt like I had something to talk about, something new about me, I felt happy at work but it weren't no specific reasons. I just had a good weekend and therefore a good start to the week.
I missed two trains today because the fucking myki machine hasnt been accepting money for 1 week now. No one's fixed it. I found that out today at peak hour. I'm so happy I'm w myki because the poor fuckers who line up at the Metcard machine put silent pressure on the person at the front to hurry the fuck up so they can all catch their train. Myself, being a myki user, just walks up to the myki machine and top up. I dont even have to do it that often. I can do it once a year if i wanted. But today the machine didnt work! I lined up at the Metcard machine and it wasnt taking anything that wasnt the exact change. I missed two trains because both ticket machines werent working. If i wanted to cause more hassle for myself, I couldve taken the train anyway and at the city loop barriers, just tell the guards the ticket machines werent working - its your fault so thats why i dont have a ticket.
But I'm not the confrontational type. I walk to the other side of the platform and top up there. I am only 10 minutes late for work because humans invented the Sydenham limited express train.
I'm beginning to stress over money because my hours are cut for this week. Its good news that I'm still considered an employee at Myer but they are also cutting back on hours or perhaps they''ve put me at the bottom of their ladder bcoz I fucked them over by not working Boxing Day. Last night I had my usual 4 hours sleep because I was up watching TV while online shopping. I spent $116 on Asos (for five pieces of clothing) and another ~$40 on nose piercing jewellery. Accessorise your nose. Hairhouse Warehouse kinda fucked me over by giving me a 23 gauge nose ring when I had a 18 gauge hole. I wasn't aware that my hole will close up and now I cant fit anything in. My 23 gauge ring at the moment is the smallest you get em so my options are next to none when it comes to changing my ring.
If i wanna make my hole bigger, I have to change the ring to something slightly bigger to stretch it. Then change, and change til it gets back to the regular 18 gauge. It's a long process because I've gotta wait for the piercing to heal around the new ring. I found this really cool site online which I bought three rings from, a 22 gauge silver ring with three beads on it, 20 gauge aqua 3.5mm crystal stud and lastly, to celebrate reaching the 18 gauge a 14K White Gold Trinity Cubic Zirconia Stone 3mm stud just like Tupac.
I cant wait.

Tuesday Is The New Thursday

I had an average of 4.5hours sleep every work night since I arrived two weeks ago. I am surprisingly energetic when I wake up and manage to pull through the day sometimes without nana naps. If it was up to me, I could sleep for 9 hours but it seems my body is comfortable with 5 hours of sleep. I may have established a sleeping habit of 5 hours. RAPT! I have always admired Tita Grace's 5 hours of sleep energetic ways. Today i worked from 8-1pm. I spent 15 minutes of my shift choosing new shoes to buy and wear. Alexa Black Goat size 6. Yeeheee new SHOES! its been AGES but this time I feel guilty for buying. I'm not gonna get a lot of money in the next month and I've just spent half of what I would earn next week. Anyways, my shoes looked good and complimented my outfit. Every single one of the girls commented positively on how I looked. Aw thanks! ;)

I'm in the city a lot. Well aware of the fact that the Sydenham train departs from Melbourne Central, I like to walk to Flinders Street station. I'm exposed to the public a lot, taking public transport, walking around the city, going shopping.. I'm rarely at home. The number of conversations between randoms on the street is rising.

Tuesday as I was waiting for a friend at Fed Square, I was playing with some birds. They made me laugh and I looked up to see if anyone saw what the birds were doing. An asian guy came up to me for a chit chat. Turns out he arrived in Melbourne just a couple hours earlier, checked into a hotel and came straight out. It was his first time in Melbourne, he plans to stay for 12 days. He came alone. He's name was Roy and Roy was Korean. He's english was very good and he was a genuinely friendly guy. He studies dentistry in Korea, a course that goes for 8 years! But at the moment, he is travelling the world alone. ALONE! I admire that. My friend finally came and we were all talking. Roy eventually left probably feeling awkward at third wheeling. I was a little disappointed to see him go, I should have offered to show him around melb.

Interaction with nature

Today as I was walking through Australia on Collins I noticed a man walking the same pace as me. If I slowed he slowed, if i quickened to overtake, he continued beside me. He started a conversation with me saying that I looked familiar and did I work at the NAB? He asked for my background. I told him.

I saw you from back there, you have an interesting face.
Yes, I noticed that your walking pace slowed.
Yes, I wanted to talk to you.
Oh so I didn't look familiar??
No, no.. still familiar.

The man parted ways when I needed to take the escalator down. He said good bye and take care. I told him 'see ya later'. The outcome: not so creepy. When a random wants to talk to me,
I shut em down with body language. If they succeed with a conversation, often its a friendly and comfortable one. I feel like a total cocky bitch. Sometimes people just wanna say hi.

What I did after work:
Post office to send some filippino gifts to Nga
Myer to hand in availabilities
Visit Stu at Sure Store
Stand underneath the Flinders Street Station new cooling system which I think is clever
2:17pm train because the 2:01 never came
Drive home from station
Eat left overs
Go to Savers
Lazy Moes, Chicken Risotto for dinner, I never finish my food
Home
Visual merchandised my jewellery on my new table
Sorting out my shit

Today I went savers and impusively bought a coffee table. WOOOO! I love FURNITURE! its hand made buy someone like my dad. If you flip it over you can see the carpenter pencil markings and the varnish very roughly painted on. Its completely made of wood, heavy wood. Even heavy for vman to carry. I like. The table top is slices of tree trunk, showing lines indicating how old the tree is. It's so very beautiful. I had to have it for my future house. it cost me $40 and vman was there I had to get it today! Its currently in my room holding my all my jewellery :)

My new heavy weight wooden table

cant wait for saturday when I get a total hair restyle. I dont know how I'm gonna feel about loosing most of my hair. I'm kinda nervous but excited at the same time. If it was short, it will just have to remain boofy and spikey. Yes to healthy hair that doesnt break when i wash it with conditioner!

Eve

It's christmas eve. I had work at Myer yesterday and I love it when its quite and all the Myer staff stand in around in a large circle the reserves and eat chocolates. It reminded me of the last days of school in primary where there would be nothing but cleaning to do.. then making christmas decorations, colouring in Jesus pictures, making chains from streamers, playing silent ball in the class room, giving out christmas cards...
Last night I slept at 5am which is the first time in about 2-3 months. I found it odd that I heard the birds chirping and a little bit of dawn. I actually miss having a 5am bed time. Everything is so much more peaceful when you're the only one awake, summer weather is perfect nocturnal weather. And I wake up at 12pm when the heat is at its peak... ohh yeah boy.
I did a double shift yesterday. 3-9pm at Myer then 9:30pm-1am at Jwow, it was so dead and I had plans to get drunk. I had about 4 standard drinks of Cointreau lemonade and lime but that shit doesnt work. I may aswell not even drink if I dont get a bus. I was so bored I was making mocktails for fun and being extra extra nice to customers, even did table service .. laying fancy black napkins down as coasters before laying the drinks down.
A customer, who apparently works with Eftpos taught me something. If someone forges your signature paying with your credit card, you dont need to be the one who pays. Why? Even if the signature looks the same, you didnt sign it, you didnt sign the binding contract you have with the banks so the banks will pay for it. If the signatures look nothing alike, then the retailer/hospitality place/whatever will be at fault and will need to pay. But if you lie to the banks, and tell them you didnt sign something you did, and they investigate it and prove that you lied, you are in big shit. You'll get charged with fraud and die in jail.
We closed early and went to Golden Monkey. Then a 3am run to highpoint. I've never been shopping this late and I was surprised at how many people were still up shopping. I thought it was a pretty decent effort, but poor poor employees. I'd kill myself with boredom. I'd be delusional. Vman was getting grumpy because he was tired and he said I was only rubbing salt in his wounds by saying things like 'alllllrrrrright Mr. Grumpy, just because you're all tired and shit'. Haha. He told me not to piss him off. 'AAallllllrrrrriiight, far out'.
I went late night shopping with Dave again. I told him I needed to exchange something because I bought the wrong size. I told him to wait outside of the bra section. So I've gone up a size which amazes me because isnt it when you get older your boobs get smaller? My body is changing and adopting this busy schedule that I've emerged myself in. I'm over my cold, my muscles have grown and I'm physically and mentally stronger. I just need to concentrate on eating the right foods now. I have maccas at least twice a week and last night I had maccas and kfc in one day. My work friends at Myer are impressed.
Hannah: She eats so much maccas and look how tiny she is
Jess: Oh my god, I had a look at your facebook and they were all of like.. meat platters
HAHA!
Dave and I played a game. We had exactly $8 and 20 minutes to buy something for each other, another restriction was it had to start with the first letter of the other person's name, and it had to be useful.
I had the option of buying Dave a dartboard with some darts, dvds, or a multicoloured metallic men's g string except g string started with a G and not a D damnit. I got him a stainless steel mini pedal dustbin.. It wasnt really a dust bin, it was just something I wanted him to have because he's bin is shit. Dave got me a jug, a juice and a jar. Haha! He very quickly wrapped it with the paper he bought and tied it with a yellow fabric ribbon.
Me: How did you cut the ribbon?
Dave: I hooked it around my foot and pulled it.
haha!!

Reaping The Benefits

We want to reach the result without having to endure the hard work that will get us there. We want to speed up the process and fast forward to a time when we don't have to suffer, to a time when we are relaxing on the beach on some tropical island sipping on a caiprihina. I want to skip this process of literally exerting blood and sweat with 11 hour manual labour days running on 5 hours sleep and no breakfast - experiencing dizzy spells and getting my ass raped by control-freak erratic bosses experiencing mid life crisis and taking it out on the young and sexy.
I dont want to be responsible for completing the tasks I wasn't trained to do and being blamed for it when shit hits the fan. I get in trouble for 'being so slow' for something I'm doing for the first time. I skip breaks and power through the day to get shit done, and I go home fucking exhausted.
I work fucking hard because I have begun at the bottom of the ladder. Lately, this experience has not been pleasurable. On Tuesday I was so stressed out because the girl training me called in sick and I had to pack 19 boxes x 15 kgs of shoes, create stock transfer receipts book in-state and interstate couriers, move stock around to fit in the stock on the floor. The manager was grilling me on the phone to the point where I held the phone away from my ear like I do with mum. She wanted it done in 2hours. I broke down. She knew I was upset and she backed off.
Hard work and suffering.
I wanna fast forward to the time when I'm sipping on a caiprihina on a tropical island, sitting by a swimming pool in a tight white dress, hair healthy and curled, 3 million dollar mansion with white walls, furniture and floor to ceiling windows letting in the yellow sun. I want to cash in my chips at the casino and walk away with the millions. I want to travel the world so it will be summer all year around. I dont want to wake up at 6am and sleep at 12am.
Why must I tire myself to achieve this? The process is a test that only the strong and determine can endure. Those who pass the test are deserving. Your end result is so great that not just anyone can have.
Reaping the benefits without going through the process? Impossible. I'm gonna stop complaining about how tired I am at work. I'm not gonna feel sorry for myself anymore. Gotta power on like the gun that I am, BITCH.
You can get to anything you want.
If you find yourself making excuses,
you obviously don't want it that bad.

Krusty Ass Stoned Trooper

Every time my sydenham train turns into another sydenham train at the city loop I feel like staying on it and riding it home again. Last night was VIP melbourne central shopping day where selected stores go on sale. We were 20% off store wide. We were mentioned on the radio. Weeeee, me me me!

It was crazy hectic. There were 24 girls working yesterday. Three or four of us getting/putting away stock and two girls on telephone sales. Two girls on register, two stair bitches and the rest on floor serving customers and making sure bogans dont steal shit. Poor floor girls, there were so many people it was difficult to know who was greeted, who was being served.. it was claustrophobic and you were breathing other peoples used air. This shit's craaaaay but it was fun because I like it when shit hits the fan. I was getting stock, I'm getting so much faster at it. They thanked me for my hard work and told me I was a gun.

I finished work at 8pm last night, got home at 930pm and was ready to crash. I had work at 8am today. But after I shower I feel so refreshed im ready to pump it for another three hours. I call Dave for a 11pm kebab run but he's at home eating fried rice. I came over his and he fed me, the little food beggar that I am because I dont know how to fend for myself. And when I do, I eat things like:

Plain BBH noodles

I got home at 12:30am and had 6 hours sleep. Waking up is always a bitch and I'm so adamant that after work I'm gonna come home and sleep for 8 hours. But its not so bad when you're actually up. I dont like taking showers in the morning because it just puts me to sleep again. Apples in the morning, however, are good.

Up til now, I've eaten an apple and pear. I dont have time to sit down for a meal. I wonder if I can survive on fruit for the rest of my life. Monkeys do it.

So I've finished my shift for today and I'm on my way home to hang out with vman. I was thinking to stay out and drink from 1-10pm but I've declined having dinner with vman three days in a row so today I should pull through. Except vman gets angry at me on the phone because I called him boring and plans are cancelled. I'm on my way home for nothing. I could have been getting smashed right now.

Also on my way home I realised I worked at the wrong place today and the wrong time! I did one job from 8am-1pm when I should have been at D doing 11-5pm god damnit. I'm on my way home at 1:30pm and I should still be at Myer!! Fuck. Thats why people at work were surprised that I was in. D didnt call me which means I couldn't have fucked up too bad.

Even though, I hate letting people down. I feel guilty. I hope this isnt a sign of my downhill spiral of forgetfulness, disorganisation, ... and other bad descriptive words as a result of my seemingly workaholic self. The last time I had a day off was 3 weeks ago when I called in sick for my house BBQ.

Mind, body and soul feel weak. I take nana naps but I still wake up feeling tired. What do I have to do?? I wanna cry because I dont know what else will make me feel better. I'll admit it. I feel defeated. Let me rest for a bit before I get back up again.

Sleeping Hungry

I have been warned that flustered and sometimes incapable manager/s will rely on me more and more now that I am training for this Stock/VM position. All this physical work, carrying 10kg boxes up/down stairs, constantly rearranging shoe boxes and running around upstairs dodging potential occupational health and safety accidents is beginning to show the effects on my body. Im growing biceps and lower back/hip muscles. Apparently the previous manager who did the stock lost a whole dress size, 8 down to a 6. Gym membership not required.
Why I prefer working with objects (stock) than with people (customers):
  • Sometimes you get over dealing with people. Their problems are the same thing, I say the same thing.
  • I get to use my brain with stock
  • Theres always something to do upstairs and time flies
  • I like more responsibility
  • Objects don't have emotions or opinions
I'm forever travelling to and from the city. My ipod is totally necessary. Once my head phones are in I am in my own world. Beats switched on, world switched off. I walk on the yellow corrugated rubber at the train stations because I like to feel the bumps through my shoes. I like to sit/stand near the window so I can imagine myself in the film clip to this song.. you know, the one where the girl stares out the window of a train in deep contemplation. That's me. I like watching people. I wonder what the people who are watching me are thinking about. I wonder if I'm ever mentioned in the MX section 'Heres Looking At You' what would I say?
Coffee?
I imagine things and act out scenarios in my head while on the train to escape reality. Sometimes I am so engulfed in these scenarios I practice what I'd say out loud. Accidentally or on purpose. Thinking like a child, thinking carefree without limitations is what will free me from this mundane everyday work cycle. Thoughts like these occur more after work than they do before work when I know that I am free and it wont be at least another 12 hours before I have to start it all over again.
I've started noting down everything I spend minus what I earnt for the day. On Monday i was negative 37cents god damnit but the other days so far I was up by at least $100. Phew. Saving plan: deposit $500-$700 a week = $2,000+ a month. Interest is my bitch. Inner city suburb luxury apartment here we come.
What I ate today:
  • Two toast with egg/ham/cheese
  • Orange juice
  • Spinach and ricotta bread roll
  • Slice of cake
  • Plain ass BBH noodles
By the time I get home I'm too tired to cook anything so I go to sleep hungry. I'll wake up hungry and inspired as to what to eat. -.-

Working Pains

I get up, go to wowrk, come home to sleep. I don't have leisure time without being tired. I get such a thrill when I do something non work related that I enjoy. I wish they came more often. I'm lonely and empty inside because i have no goal in life other than make shit loads of money. Some people are so submerged in their jobs because its their goal in life. These people call work on their days off to check up on how its going. Remember that high school teacher who's goal in life was to catch you out of uniform and you be thinking 'get a fucking life!'? Yeh well their jobs are their lives. This could be a good thing, it means the employee is passionate and therefore good for the job, or a bad thing, that these people have not found anything else worth while in their lives to spend the effort on. Today at my double shift I almost died. I ate some chicken for breakfast to pack on the protein for the long ass day of have but by 930am I was experiencing dizzy spells and blaring lights in my seeing. I bought a 750ml V8 fruit juice bottle and downed that. Then in between shifts I downed a grilled beef burger for iron and small chips for crabs. I was ready to roll. I was so bored at Myer soooooo bored I was determined not to look at my watch and congratulated myself on each hour I held it together. I was so bored I was figuring out how Brail works, it was a secret code like on Survivor... A looks like this, B looks like this so C must look like this.... Dodgey bitches tried to jib me by only giving me a 20min break on a 7hr shift when I am entitled to a 20min + 45 min break. Only until I said something did the bitch change it.

Vote For Pedro

I knew that this was going to be a strange day the moment it started. I under slept today but woke up at 10am feeling unusually refreshed. I helped Ate clean the house and prepare the salad for Anio's 21st family birthday party at my house that I was going to miss. The party started at 12pm but I had to leave at 12pm for work.

The weather was conflicting. Warm, with an occasional icey breeze, gloomy and 2nd speed wiper rain. I wore my Timbs to protect my feet from the rain and cold. The train announcement called out the station names one too many late. I realised I left my phone at home and refused to struggle today without it. Although I did have to call Vman to pass on a message and tell him to pass on a message to phuong as well.

Work was SO draining. I felt every minute of my 5.25 hour shift and I wasnt even hung over or tired. All the other girls were tired too. The weather didnt help either. Muggy, sticky, hot, cold, rain, what??? The shop got busy for sometime til a point where another girl came up and helped me with the stock but customers where just trying on 500million shoes and not buying anything. Wasted effort for nothing.

I went to jwow to find cheese obviously upset with Australian Immigration, blurting out her problems to Marc. James didnt seem himself. Marc didn't seem himself either and just wanted to get out of jwow so we went to Starbucks where we ordered the biggest caffine hit available. Bam! It did nothing.

Yao and Helen came and we had dinner at the new Laksa joint that opened on Lt. Lonsdale and Exhibition. Back to Jwow, back to mine where Helen and Vman now sleep while I blog. We watched Napolean Dynamite and A Might Heart. I tried to smoke my sheesha but unnsuccessfully carved myself an apple. Apple fail. I need to get some carving lessons off Dave. I resorted back to original house sheesha which was shit because I know I deserve Sydney Road quality shit.

I've been spending so much money on shit I don't need lately and I wont be able to achieve my financial savings target this week. It means I'll have to save what I couldnt this week next week.
The girls at Tony still cant believe I have three jobs and work seven days a week. 'How do you do it Jen? I don't know how you do it.' I don't know either. I worked out I do 48-55hours a week. I dont go out anymore, which is even less than I used to. My body tolerance to alcohol has decreased which means I am a weak drunk, spend less money to get fucked up, which means I'll save money on alcohol? Bonus. This was my plan all along.

Unstable

The previous post was a drunken blog. I have negative energy bottled up inside me that I am releasing slowly but surely.
Angry.
Annoyed.
Pissed off
and
Frustrated
Because I still want it but I wont admit itttttttt too much. If I do I'll start accepting it as a possibility. It's not.
It's not.

I woke up yesterday morning without a hang over thankfully. But i didn't feel 100%. My body is already weak from lack of sleep and organisation in my life, not to mention the rotation of three jobs on a 7 day a week basis. I woke up next to Helen, she told me to wake up at 11:00am and told me I had work. I groaned and told her I had work at 1pm. I wanted to snooze. her bed is a cloud. I dont think I sleep so well at any other persons house. I need to ask her where she gets her pillows from.
I'm beginning to think I have a higher tolerance to alcohol than Helen bc she woke up looking like crap. I returned to her room to find an empty bed, I called for her from the bedroom door because I had no pants on and there were older men present. I didnt hear an answer but I did hear vomiting from the other bathroom. That must be Helen.
Helen's way of cleaning out her wardrobe is by throwing everything onto the floor so there isn't a bit of carpet visible. There is no choice but to step on her clothes. Sometimes you step on hard sharp objects. She was going through the piles of clothes looking for a skirt for me to wear to work. I was looking down at Helen on the floor, she was half heartedly going through piles of clothes with the hang over and minimum energy that she had. After she went through most of the pile, I felt sorry for her and told her don't worry about it, the skirt isn't there. She lied on top on the clothes, rolled on her side, and told me it had to be, that it wasn't in the wash because she hadnt worn it for a week.
Aw.
Work on Saturday after jwow and alcohol Friday is a struggle. Hello struggletown, arent you a familiar sight. I power through it like the gun that i am. If I let myself indulge in the idea that Saturday work is optional, ill never get through it. Work is fucking work and I don't have a choice. Groan.

Full Moon Crazy Loco Time

my stupid bunny rabbit has been chewing on my electrical cords in my room. She started off on my Mac computer cord which shattered me because it was my fucking Mac computer, then started on my heater cord. For some reason she only chews these wires and not my others so I simply elevated these and sprayed some perfume on it hoping to deter her.

Just now I found her nibbling on my powerboard cord, she chewed on it so much that the inner wiring and copper wires are exposed! the copper wires are broken. She couldve electrocuted herself, short circuited the electricity, fucked up my Mac and other appliances that were plugged in the powerboard, and potentially set my house on fire. Stupid stupid rabbit. I need to do something about her.

Argh!!

I worked today. Shoe purchase numero duo. I got the Nasya Stone in size 5, the smallest they come in. My feet are tiny. Hehe. I like having small feet. Tonight for the VIP shopping night, we all had to wear black and red lipstick. There were 12 of us today all in black, red lipstick and matching shoes. We were an army, too bad we werent busy. I left 2 hours before my original finish time. I was putting things through the register today without help. I have unofficially upgraded from seller to register.

I realise people treat you with more respect if you dress nicely, and by nicely I mean corporately. Or even if your hair and make up is nice. They actually smile and make contact with you when you greet them in store. They value your opinion more because they assume you would know best, well, you ARE looking rather smart. I guess its common sense that people will respect you with the same amount that you respect yourself.

Tmrw is my 10 hour shift at my other job. I get to wear all my new clothes yay. Except I didnt buy any shoes to match, since most of the time I wear combat boots and that wont go with nice corporate wear. Unless i set my own trend...

I need to catch the 746am bus tmrw and then the 812am train from St. Albans. I set my alarm for 630am. I always so ambitious when I set my alarm. My alarm does a handy thing of telling me how many hours/minutes it is til the alarm goes off.

'6 hours and 37 minutes'

Fuck yoooooouuu.

Thank You Budda

What a fucking mission and a half. Drop myki card on the train tracks in between platform and train as I get on train. Considered not jumping on train to jump onto tracks to retrieve card, one day after a teenage girl got hit by a train and died a couple stations up. Realised if I missed this train id be late for work. Jump on train. Panic about train inspectors and not being able to get out at Melbourne central station without a ticket. If I tell em the truth theres still a chance ill get fine and this time, the third time, I may not be so lucky to get out of it. Panic. Research train times that go via city loop from norh meblorune. Don't want to be late for work, or fined. Get off north Melbourne to buy a train ticket. Fuck. Yes. Ticket purchased. Cost me $5.80 my myki card isn't going to be touched off so they will charge me again. I potentially saved myself from a $168 fine. My Melbourne central train leaves at 10:45 am. Get to Melbourne central 4 minutes after. Be there 5 minutes early for work. My colleages so never know what happened. Things work themselves out. The universe wants you to suceed.

I go to work. Its a pretty cruisy day. I deal with pleasant people. My feet only hurt a bit today. My least favourite work mate calls in sick today. I work with my favourite work mate. Woo hoo. I finish work in no time because I refuse to watch the time, I dont wear watches. I go to my other work to hand in my unavailabilites, I want sunday off to recover from the hang over I plan to have. Go to dymocks to order a favourite book. Get complimented on my makeup and talk about liquid eyeliner for a bit. Happy people make my day so much better.

Make my way to Flinders Street station and spoke to friendly Metro man about my lost Myki card who directed me to a friendly Myki customer service staff who then directed me to helpful Metro customer service staff at the Station Master's office through some intimidating doors.

Give them you're details, as much as I'd like to take your details,
and they will help you out

The staff at St. Albans train station will recover my card from the train tracks and give me a call if or if not they find it. I hope someone doesn't pick it up. Idiots.

I have a lady here who has dropped her Myki card onto the train tracks
and would like someone to get it for her

what a way to make me sound stupid. The first Metro staff member followed up my problem and I thanked him. After all that was done, my train would arrive in a few minutes. I got a seat on the train during peak hour. I opened up my book and read the whole way.

On the news, a 15 year old girl from CRC St. Albans was hit and killed by a V-Line train at Ginifer station. She had headphones in, pushed through the crowd, opened the barriers to make the train, not seeing the v-line train coming. People were shouting for her to stop but she didn't. As a result, the on-lookers, her friends, fellow school goers and pretty much anyone with a heart is traumatised. The V-line train driver will feel guilt, even though he did nothing wrong. This girl was so determine to catch this train that she pushed through all safety barriers, waiting crowds and ignored legal and safety regulations. Because of her stupidity, others will be blamed and effected. No one is to blame but herself. don't get me wrong, I'm not happy she died, but what could have been done to prevent this accident?? Underground crossings perhaps, but people just need brains.

On the news, they showed footage of people at Ginifer station today, still pushing past safety barriers running for trains. Don't they know what happened yesterday? Are people fucking stupid??
Frown. Frustrated but I shrug my shoulders and roll my eyes. If people wanna die, let 'em.

I had a good day today. Simple things make me smile. Like seeing the time 12:34 when I turn my phone on. Or having to only wait 4 minutes for the next train. Or correctly estimating the time I will arrive at a train station. Other things that contribute to a good day:
  • Waking up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to go
  • Strangers compliment me
  • When my I look good in my shoes but my feet dont hurt me (too much)
  • Turning a page of a book
  • Talking to my sister
  • When my rabbit runs up to me so I can cuddle her
  • When my bus comes on time
  • When I get a good car parking
  • When I have someone to meet straight after work (makes work go faster)
  • My hair and makeup looks good
  • Friendly customer service and conversations initiated by randoms
Tonight is a full moon. I like it when people go crazy.

Weekly plans:
Wedneseday
Work 1-9pm
The rosters changed without me knowing again! I was meant to finish at 630pm but they changed to 9pm and they didnt even tell me. VIP night for VIP shoppers, invites only. We are to wear all black with red lipstick. I'm wearing my Hurricanes tomorrow but judging from previous experiences, I wont last longer than 4 hours in them. Must change shoes before I pass out. I'm getting in Nasya in tmrw in a size 5 so I'll have to change into them. I'm excited and ready to welcome a new pair of shoes.

Thursday
Work 9-7pm
10 hour shifts at D arent bad at all. I like em actually. I like the multiple breaktimes. It doesnt even feel like I deserve them they come that often. Working in the shoes department is dangerous. I need to work at the Basement so I can find something else to spend my money on.

My baon for my 10hour
3 Sandwiches, chicken and veg stirfry, strawberries and avocado salad.
NOW who's jealous in the tea room??

Friday
Work 4-930pm
Jwow 930-close
I like 5 hour shifts. I also like starting late a Jwow because Im so over prepping. Go shopping, carry 15 kgs of shit, cut the fruit, squeeze the juices, set up both bars, set up the toilets, stock the fridge/wines/spirit/mixers, put down chairs... they give us 1 hour to do that, usually i do this alone but its not enough time. Coming in at 930pm is totally fine by me. I'll need to bring some shoes to change into though. Some 'real' shoes.

Saturday
Work 1-630pm
Usually my saturday shifts are done hung over or totally spaced out bc I'm so tired from finishing 5am the night before. I wish I lived in the city so I wouldnt worry about travel, train times and carrying sleep over shit with me. Hoepfully it wont be busy. Need to help phuong with her presenation. go home, change. Then off to Helen's House party, errrybody in the club getting tipsy.

Sunday
D 9-7pm but hopefully I can take this day off to party. I need a well needed day off..please.
