Winter Shopping

I have broken my 1-2months shopping drought by skipping school and buying winter clothes at watergardens. seeing as there has been a deposit in my bank account and to celebrate my ebay success and that Deborah K was on 50% off everything, i decided to spend. just a little. i need winter clothes, i really want a chunky, heavy but oh so comfortable military style black jacket with unnecessary buckles and buttons. i havent spotted one that i like yet. i need warm clothes, mainly pants that isnt leggings and stockings and perhaps jumpers. especially when i go to london and paris.
i feel guilty for spending after all this sacraficing saving for money. but i did buy everything for really good prices (on sale) and everything i bought i will definetly use and get some wear out of. here is what i bought and what i spent.
Vintage Trackie Crop 3/4 Sleeve Jumper
$14.99 from Factorie
Wear with singlet that is tucked into pants.
Navy Blue Knitted Jumper/Dress Top (Back)
$6.00 from Deborah K
Wear as a dress with stockings and a singlet or
the black petticoat I got from Glassons as this top is see through
Black Studded bag with Chain strap
$12 from Deborah K ($40 at Femme)
I've been eyeing this since I've worked at Femme,
I prefer it in beige but they didn't stock it.
Puffy Black Fur-Hooded Long Vest
$40 (from $110) at Giordano
They were having a 50% off jackets sale! Vman bought a really nice jacket too.
Wear over long sleeve top, jumpers or dress for added comfort. This vest is very asian.
Total Spent:
$73 for 4 items = $18.25 each NOT BAD!
I finished off this day with a KFC Ultimate Burger Meal. mmmm so yum. it was all vman's fault since his hands smelt like chicken marinate that reminded me of KFC. i just had to have it!

Leggings

went to watergardens and highpoint shopping centre looking for something to buy. i was particularly looking for a pair of very cool black skinny pants but there was nothing. everything's so expensive these days, bardot and miss shop were very affordable brands and now they are just as expensive has pilgrim. i wasn't gonna pay $70 for a pair of very plain black skinny Miss Shop jeans. i know in jayjays jeans are only 30-40$ which im happy to pay for and trash.
I found this very cool fur (fake) jacket at myer though. i tried it on for fun and ended up falling in love with it. ive been searching the net for a picture of it to post up, but it wasnt even on the Bettina Liano website, infact there isnt much at all on the Bettina Liano website. The jacket has black ribbing on the waiste and sleeves from the elbow to wrist. the chest and shoulder bit is covered in puffy fur, so cool. it makes ur shoulders and boobs look big but ur tummy and arms look small. it took much time deciding if i fit the size 8 or 10. i decide on the size 8 even though i am getting FAT because the size 10 makes me look even more fatter. mum wants me to get th size 10 because shes jealous that shes not as skinny/young as me. i didnt end up buying the jacket considering it will set me back $169!!! gosh, i dont wanna get into a habbit of spending so much on clothes. it makes me feel guilty, i should be paying off my hecs fees.
I got my black leather (fake) leggings mended today. i bought them a while ago (lsat winter) for $10 at Bardot, i was very happy because they came down from $120. I'd be so shattered if i paid $120 for something that went down to $10 in a matter of months. no amount of wear can justify paying $110 more. i needed to repair them becoz the zip on the ass broke. how embarrassing. cost me another $10 and 30minutes of mine and mums time to fix. i think that was alright.
im wearing them now to make sure they fit me. they suuuuure do. lets hope this zip doesnt bust anytime soon. everyone will see my green undies underneath.
its nearing winter. i've got this fkn major marketing assignment due next week. im the only student in my class who has even started, some people have already finished. some people started 3 months ago. fucking hell. its hard because i have NO IDEA WHAT IM DOING. grrr

'Any Pessimists I Ain't Talk to Them'

That's the approach i have with my mum. everything that comes outa her mouth is blatantly negative and she's too full of herself to admit it when i tell her. she'd get top marks as a demotivational speaker. if you want ur dreams and ambitions crushed, she's the woman to see. So thank you kanye for the line.
These are the things i bought from savers a few days ago. Below, is a beige witchery blazer. looks very 90's. the only thing i dont like about it, is that its a tad bit long. ill have to replace the buttons, they look too old school. anyways, i donated a bag full of 2nd hand goodies i received 5% discount. the next bag of goodies i donate i will get 10%, then 15%, then 20% and then 25%. so with the 2 items i bought today, i saved 60c. 60c for my bag of goodies. woo hoo (sarcasm)
Witchery Blazer
$7.99
Cool clock designed as a tetra pack
$3.99
The bad thing about this clock is that it TICKS SO LOUDLY. all i here when im trying to sleep is TICK, TICK, TICK, TICK and i cant fall asleep because i know that in 1 second, the clock will TICK again. i had to get up in the middle of the night, turn my light on, and use a flat rock to wedge the battery outa the clock (i needed a rock to get out the battery because it wouldnt come out) the loud ticking is prolly why the person donated it in the 1st place far out. its cute but. ill find someone else who will use it and give it a new home.

Work Work

Today i worked. and lucky i did becuz it was shit weather to go out. I did my shift with nadya. it was 50% off maxi dresses today, some maxi dresses were going for 15$! i was shattered when this lady bought TWO of TWO of the maxi dresses i wanted. i told her 'you know, its no return or exchange on these dresses', she told me she knew. i said 'do u wanna try them on just in case?' hoping she would and wudnt take any. but she told me 'nah, it'd be right'. i put through the sale for her, i was shattered.
work went quick. im getting more and more confident driving around by myself. i like feeling independent even when i know im not. ;) its the feeling that counts. after work i went to laverton to vman's friends filo resturant where i had my 1st halo halo in 2years. it didnt compare to chow king. i bought my dad some mamoon. and some potato cakes at the fish and chip shop. but i wasnt welcomed home so i regreted spending my money on that. they didnt even believe there was a filo resturant in laverton. fucking hell. whatever.
we had fush and chups and my joint, then watched Wicked Love on Channel 9. I think the story is very interesting but the representation of it in Wicked Love isn't. I think the characters weren't develop, i wanted to get to know them more so i wud get more involved in the story. in my opinion anyway.
vman went home shortly after, and in 5seconds i was up on facebook. yes i re-activated it, for vital communication purposes not socialising purposes.
photos just in from saturdays wedding rehersal. here are some of the best family group shots. we welcome tita grace from america, sheila from dubai and tita edna, tita bebeing and tito nene from phils. there is so much to see in melbourne!

The Last Night Market of 2010

I bought the prettiest hair piece today. It was handcrafted in central america. its made of glass beads and wood on a black leather piece. It set me back a good $15 but i believe it was well spent. I have made beaded crafts before and god it is time consuming! picking up every single tiny glass bead, one by one. first with your fingers and then insert the needle in the whole. then stitch the thread so the beads are secure. then repeat 500,000 million times. i reckon this one hair piece would take hours even for an expert bead-er so i appreciate and respect the workmanship that has gone in to this. That being said, i was quite disheartened when a young (maybe the same age as me) boy and girl beside me at the marketplace stole a bag. I didn't even realise it until vman told me what happened.
Girl takes bag off rag and puts it on: "Hey, look at me!"
Guy: "Com'on, let's go"
Guy and Girl both walk away, and nobody but bentot saw. The person who made that bag put in their time and effort, and the bag stolen just as easy as that.
I can shove a massive pin in the leather behind and make it a broach.
Or i could clip it to my scarf to keep it around my neck during winter.
i like versatile and beautiful things. who doesn't?
I also bought my 2nd pair of happy pants for $25. These ones are different to my 1st pair, they are brightly coloured and made of a silky material where as the other is made of a calico material. I understand happy pants aren't for everyone, but no one can disagree as to how comfortable they are. And don't diss them until you tried them.
My Happy Pants make me feel Happy
even when people look at me like im crazy =]
I remember the my mate Paulo would tell me, when he saw me wearing happy pants, 'you need to give those pants back to MC Hammer'. hahah shut up. hopefully ill be brave enough to wear them tmrw =]
I have just read phuong's blog on xanga. she has said i have given her an urge to shop, probably because of my posts about my shoes from sydney. I can't believe that kmart are selling $1.75 Rimmel Nail polishes. Do they have black? because i want black. ive got too many nail polishes already, i should finishes the ones i have before i acquire new ones. the same goes for my makeup. buying makeup is so addictive especially when they are so cheap! Groove and Ice Accessories for coloured eye make up and lip gloss and Rimmel for mascara.
Tmrw i must go to kmart anyway. The kmart advertisements from my mail box are so seductive. yes, seductive. kmart have improved their advertising and their clothing so much so, i thought it was a target catalogue. I'm gonna list a few of these bargain items off the top of my head for phuong to hear.
- Cute ankle boots for $15 (thats $1 more than phuongs bronzer)
- Grey blazer for $40 (since this is so cheap i gotta check out bcoz its too good to be true)
- Black tailored sequence blazer $40
- Long racer black baggy singlets $19
- Grey skinny jeans $29
- Old school demin button up shirt $29
- Long knitted vest with hood $29 (very pussycat doll type)
- leppord print leggings $15
- Tie Die jeans $29
wow. off to go and spend some more.

My Savers Hit

Finally went to Savers in Footscray. Spent about 1hour browsing through the store and scored myself some bargins. I really shouldnt be spending my money, i aim to save at least half of my weekly wage and spend on the rest. seems fair, seems like a reachable goal. but its not when you see many pretty things for a cheap price. The black mini Kookai dress is spotted with white, light brown and dark brown silk circles. I purchased it for $7.99 It's beautiful and i love it already. the only problem is the silk circles are beginning to fray and that cant be helped. The Pentax old school SLR camera cost me $7.99 whether it works or not is another question. Vman said he could fix what was broken. Before i gave it a quick wipe with alcohol and a brief clean with a cotton bud. The camera doesn't look like it has been taken care off. The lenses are dirty inside with dust and small specks and what looks like water dried up. there is no cover for the lenses and whenever you rewind the film it feels like there is sand inside the camera.
The picture frame features egyptian mummy art. it cost me $4.99 I have already hung it up on my bedroom wall. There are now 3 pieces of art ihave bought from savers that are hanging on my wall. I do expect to find more.
The pink heels are the only thing in the picture that i didnt buy at savers. It cost me $20 at globalise, its similar to the green pair of heels i bought at sydney (pictured below). I love the shoes already, even though i know some of my heels i havent worn more than once. They are the 1st sling back heels i have bought, and the 2nd pair that i bought for $20. cant go wrong. maybe a lil big but i slipped some party feet in them to make them more comfy.
These are the green heels i was talking about. they cost me $50 at General Pants & Co in Sydney. where they had a buy one sale item, get the next sale item for free. omgosh, i was in heaven! with these green shoes i got a One teaspoon top for free. I also bought a pair of ankle high converse shoes for 70$ and got an orange tshirt dress for free. The other shoes featured in this photo i bought from a shop on George Street called Raben Shoes. They cost me $50 which i think is a fair price. At the time i was so confident with wat id wear it with but now im unsure.
its more fun when ur in another city, u can be whoever you wanna be, and dress how u wanna dress. no one there that you care about is gonna judge you.
