2nd Hand Loving

Because we cant all be virgins

I offered to drive Ate to Elsternwick. Big step for nervous driver like me. I was driving Ate's car which is different size and handling than my car. It was raining as well. I thought I was quite brave.

I almost got into an accident. Missed the car in front by a centimeter because I swerved like crazy. My fault. It's okay. No one died.

Vista Laser Eye Clinic, Elsternwick
They had a Nespresso machine. Me and ate sure made use of that. After Ate intiated the coffee making, everyone else followed one by one. Everyone else is too shy. Pfft. If its there, its meant to be used. I had a hot chocolate. It was so good. Frothed milk makes a massive difference. 12 hours later and I'm still thinking about it.

Savers, Footscray
Oh yeah op shopping how I've missed your smell! I spent $80 here (after a 5% discount because I made a donation). I bought:
  • Navy Blue Woolen Varsity Hooded Jacket  (will compliment my blonde hair)
  • Green thick wooly jumper (will compliment my blonde hair)
  • Slim black metallic 90's ankle length dress  (will compliment my blonde hair)
  • Strange shirt collar  (will compliment my blonde hair)

Savers

When I tried on all my clothes, I would ask myself 'would this look good with blonde hair?' If yes, I buy. haha

Bank West and Australia Post, Watergardens
Nothing interesting here.

Dropped off my newly purchased varsity jacket to blast away those germs

Brotherhood of St. Lawrence, Burnside
It hit me, I'm into the 90's fashion. It used to be all about the 80's but more and more I'm pulling out 90's gear. Here I bought a black mini skirt with an invisible zip and a small triangular slit on the thigh.

Salvos, Burnside
This is the third op shop today. Going through everyones pre-loved shit is depressing because all I think about is waste waste waste. We are so wasteful!! There is no way all this shit will move, I see clothes that I seen months and months ago, its still here. And people are going out buying brand new clothes, which in turn encourages the industry to keep making, producing which then gives us the option to throw away our clothes for the sake of buying new ones. some of these clothes still have tags on them. Vicious cycles. I thought they only existed in the form of love triangles and running back to a shit lover. It makes me angry. People need to travel to the Philippines and see how lucky we got it here.

although in saying that, most of the clothes at the op shops are the cheap brands that produce clothes with a timestamp e.g. 'trendy' clothes. These brands include
  • Cotton On
  • Supre
  • CK Morgan, DK, Sunny Girl or similar asian brands
  • Target, Kmart or similar department store brands
which makes me think its better to pay a bit more for quality and timeless fashion that wont have u throwing away and buying from them again. I know you do it because its cheap and good for a short term but comon, vicious cycle. Get outa it.

I bought this really cool black thick stretch dress. It was tagged as size 12 but when i fit it it was perfect.  I like things that are made in other places besides Asia. This one was made in Australia. Represent. Again, it was 90s in style. Slim, sleeveless. High floppy collar with one side higher than the other. This reflected on the hem where one side was higher than the other. Damn this dress is hot.

One of a kind

Printed my holiday documents. Sumpai.

Home, Taylors Hill
I was so hungry. Mum cooked fried chicken. I ate about 5 pieces with two serves to rice. I get full easy when I binge eat. I ate til I was about to pop and when the rice ran out I just ate the chicken. And then I ate Salt and Vinegar Pringles, Shapes and drank a cup of tea. Ahhhhhhh.. I'm fat :D

FILIPPINO CANDY!!!!!

Me and Ate rock our Jordons

Interesting basket bag with black/yellow/white ribbon weaving
Metal chain weaved with nude paten ribbon.
I didnt buy it though

What an interesting dress! So 80's. Did you know this is tagged as a size 8??
How baggy is this dress?? I love it from the armpits up.
I digging this pattern metallic teal fabric.

How clever. How precious

I go through my old wardrobe and pull out some winter shit for this changing weather.
I remember this jacket. I used to wear it when I was a kid but now it fits me a bit better,
even though it is still massively oversized.

I want this on me.

Day 1: A New Jumper

I woke up today without a clue as to what I would do new. I went about and ran my errands as I would any other day. I randomly walked into Globalize just to 'see what the kids are wearing these days'. Not that I'm into trends or buying clothes from major retailers. I wanted to see new designs, materials or get an idea of rip off prices. I saw a sale rack. It said
10% OFF!!!
like wow. I had a look. I found something that I seen of lookbook.nu A white thick knit crop jumper with some thread detail at the bottom. It was pretty. It was $70 and with 10% off would mean I was only saving $7. It was two sizes too big. Hm. I'll try it on. Vman approved. So I bought it.
White crop knit by Dark Dreamer $63
The sleeves are way to big. So i went to the $2 shop and bought sleeve garters to keep them up. It looks cool this way. I put it on pretty much straight away.
Centrelink Sorted some paper work out so I can get paid Bunnings Swapped the 'Jarah' wood filler for 'Mahogany' Globalize Implusively bought a jumper $2 Shop $3 for 15 large pieces of sandpaper, ranging from thick to super fine! Bunnings you RIP! Grill'd Mini moo with salad and half of vince's chips. 'Oh no, vman, I'll just have one or two' Safeway
Multigrain bread, toilet cleaner and wool washer
Fill up petrol
all by myself. Could only afford $50. $1.349 per litre. I was shy $5 of a full tank. damnit.

My Very 2nd Band Shirt

My Die Antwoord tshirt came in the mail today! I was so happy I changed and wore it out to watergardens. Woo. The Lee dress I bought on ebay also came in the mail, its pretty but its a small halter dress and it shows too much side boob. So much so that if i ran, a whole boob would pop out from the side and say hello to the world. I went to Femme, trusty Femme, do buy a boobtube black bra for $8.00. One year on, how do i know what Femme stock?
BECAUSE ITS A GOOD SELLER.
Tomorrow night i wanna drink up because I feel depressed that i'm not in london. I miss london. I have to look at these damn london photos to complete my homework for the study tour that is due on the 4th of March. Its torture, its breaking my heart. and I miss it.
So tomorrow i want to drink my sorrows away. and perhaps whilst doing so, rediscover my love for Melbourne.
SIGH.

Clearing my Mind

I don't sleep comfortably on my bed. It's a notable difference ever since i re-arranged my room the way i did. perhaps bad feng shui. last night i had a dream that one of my ex's sister pissed me off by cutting up my jeans. i wanted to kill her. i had a knife in my hands, and i swear to god i was doing a 'stabbing in the chest' motion in real life. i stabbed my pillow. i know i did.
so i moved my tables around. made more space to clear my mind. maybe now ill feel motiviated to start drawing.
i went wg's with mum. im pissed off because i went to the hair dressers today, they recommended that i buy this Kerastase product for my extremely damaged hair. it was gonna cost me $80+ dollars. and in Dubai, the hair dressers recommended that i buy the same product, except it was only gonna cost me $40 there. and i told him that was too expensive. argh!
anyways, i bought two Stella McCartney items today. a black bag, large, extremely light weight and collapsable, with gold studs for $19 down from $99. And a cream clutch with interesting Art Deco gold rimming also for $19 down from $69. the clutch is beautiful. i cant stop looking at it.
Black Stella McCartney Bag
$99 down to $19
Beautiful Stella McCartney Purse with Art Deco inspired gold edging $69 down to $19
i spent a fair long while in the library today collecting books of interest and inspiration. the books ranged from pattern/ornaments to DIY crafts to hanged prisoners in Australian prisons. I also borrowed 5 documentary DVDs on travel. i want to travel!!
it 2:07am. im gonna do sit ups instead of having a late night snack of salami. mmmm yum salami.

Winter Shopping

I have broken my 1-2months shopping drought by skipping school and buying winter clothes at watergardens. seeing as there has been a deposit in my bank account and to celebrate my ebay success and that Deborah K was on 50% off everything, i decided to spend. just a little. i need winter clothes, i really want a chunky, heavy but oh so comfortable military style black jacket with unnecessary buckles and buttons. i havent spotted one that i like yet. i need warm clothes, mainly pants that isnt leggings and stockings and perhaps jumpers. especially when i go to london and paris.
i feel guilty for spending after all this sacraficing saving for money. but i did buy everything for really good prices (on sale) and everything i bought i will definetly use and get some wear out of. here is what i bought and what i spent.
Vintage Trackie Crop 3/4 Sleeve Jumper
$14.99 from Factorie
Wear with singlet that is tucked into pants.
Navy Blue Knitted Jumper/Dress Top (Back)
$6.00 from Deborah K
Wear as a dress with stockings and a singlet or
the black petticoat I got from Glassons as this top is see through
Black Studded bag with Chain strap
$12 from Deborah K ($40 at Femme)
I've been eyeing this since I've worked at Femme,
I prefer it in beige but they didn't stock it.
Puffy Black Fur-Hooded Long Vest
$40 (from $110) at Giordano
They were having a 50% off jackets sale! Vman bought a really nice jacket too.
Wear over long sleeve top, jumpers or dress for added comfort. This vest is very asian.
Total Spent:
$73 for 4 items = $18.25 each NOT BAD!
I finished off this day with a KFC Ultimate Burger Meal. mmmm so yum. it was all vman's fault since his hands smelt like chicken marinate that reminded me of KFC. i just had to have it!

Leggings

went to watergardens and highpoint shopping centre looking for something to buy. i was particularly looking for a pair of very cool black skinny pants but there was nothing. everything's so expensive these days, bardot and miss shop were very affordable brands and now they are just as expensive has pilgrim. i wasn't gonna pay $70 for a pair of very plain black skinny Miss Shop jeans. i know in jayjays jeans are only 30-40$ which im happy to pay for and trash.
I found this very cool fur (fake) jacket at myer though. i tried it on for fun and ended up falling in love with it. ive been searching the net for a picture of it to post up, but it wasnt even on the Bettina Liano website, infact there isnt much at all on the Bettina Liano website. The jacket has black ribbing on the waiste and sleeves from the elbow to wrist. the chest and shoulder bit is covered in puffy fur, so cool. it makes ur shoulders and boobs look big but ur tummy and arms look small. it took much time deciding if i fit the size 8 or 10. i decide on the size 8 even though i am getting FAT because the size 10 makes me look even more fatter. mum wants me to get th size 10 because shes jealous that shes not as skinny/young as me. i didnt end up buying the jacket considering it will set me back $169!!! gosh, i dont wanna get into a habbit of spending so much on clothes. it makes me feel guilty, i should be paying off my hecs fees.
I got my black leather (fake) leggings mended today. i bought them a while ago (lsat winter) for $10 at Bardot, i was very happy because they came down from $120. I'd be so shattered if i paid $120 for something that went down to $10 in a matter of months. no amount of wear can justify paying $110 more. i needed to repair them becoz the zip on the ass broke. how embarrassing. cost me another $10 and 30minutes of mine and mums time to fix. i think that was alright.
im wearing them now to make sure they fit me. they suuuuure do. lets hope this zip doesnt bust anytime soon. everyone will see my green undies underneath.
its nearing winter. i've got this fkn major marketing assignment due next week. im the only student in my class who has even started, some people have already finished. some people started 3 months ago. fucking hell. its hard because i have NO IDEA WHAT IM DOING. grrr

What a Beautiful Day!

The weather was perfect! The sun, nice and yellow, shining gently on my skin. It was pleasantly warm with a light breeze of no cooler or warmer temperature. MMM it was good.
I woke up early (7:30am) to catch a 8:22am train at watergardens. I have 30minutes before i leave my house. I need 20 minutes to do makeup, hair and figure out what i wanna wear, 10 minutes to eat and quickly brush my teeth. My bag should be packed the night before so i dont waste time packing it or making my baon. I like to take some time getting ready and sometimes i dont wear the first outfit i put on. but changing several outfits means less eating time. When i dont stick to my time limits i end up having to run for the train as soon as mum drops me off at the station. Sometimes i make it, and when i get on the train i cant breathe for 2minutes. Today, I did not make the train. and what pisses me off the most is that i get shit from mum for the whole ride there, i hate her and her 'SEE?? I TOLD YOU SOO!' 's they just get on my nerves. Hypocrite.
Well it didnt matter that i missed my flinders street train. because my sandringham train was late 20minutes. so i was about 15minutes late for my 1hr lecture that prolly went for 15minutes overtime anyway. so boring. since im repeating the subjects i failed last year, im hearing the same information and the same jokes from the same guy all over again. I was quite impressed how he could memorise the jokes, i feel somewhat betrayed that each lecture isnt taylored to each lecture group. the lecturer is very convincing at being interested presenting the same material over and over again.
When i came out of the room, i found some pleasant surprises outside in the uni courtyard. FREE icecream with chocolate topping, FREE sherbet sticks, FREE airbrush tattoos, and $12 posters. I bought two, 1 for a present 1 for me of the Tiananmen Square scene where a man stood infront of a line of tanks as a war protest. I love this photo, it means so much to me. I think it could speak for itself.
Tiananmen Square
June 5th - 1989
I think that caption destroys the poster. I dont want to read words when i look at a photo, i wanna read the photo by myself. I think the words are distracting. I asked the poster sales guy, if they had a version where the photograph wasnt cropped out. I've seen a zoomed out version of this photo, its much better because there are more tanks lined up. And the last tank isn't in line with the rest. the version below would've been better even.
Anyways, here are the pictures of my fake tatts. I got two =] you should seen the look on my mums face when she saw the one on my back! hahah. she did a double take!

Sunday Jobs

I worked from 11am to 5:15pm today. Working on Sunday's isn't so bad because I get to wake up later and the pay is time and a half. Except today was a glorious 26 degrees, fine and sun shining. Outside Watergardens was a so called "Street Festival" I bet wasn't any good but I would've liked to be there than at work. I will hopefully get my Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate tomorrow. I'm gonna rock up to the school half an hour before class starts and hope there's a spot for me. If not, then I'll wake up at 7:30am for nothing. I'm slowly working my way up to being a flight attendant. After the RSA will be the first aid certificates, then the hospitality experience, then perhaps a short course in something relevant. Wish me luck!
