Royce and Denim

Im on doing one of my solo fashion shows in my room. im trying on my new jeans, im so glad i bought the grey one. they look good with my green military style shirt and the heels i bought yesterday.
colour scheme: faded grey, army green + beige
gangsta.
im also listening to Royce Da 5'9" this is bringing back some old school memories. especially the song 'Wet My Whistle'. its a clubbing dancing song. fully suits the fashion show mode.
im planning to do a solo trip into the city tmrw. fuck it. i wanna go to visit galleries so i can feel like im still on the study tour. haha nah joking, i kinda want to go to visit the galleries. i want to be inspired, i want to see new things and sketch more. i want inspiration. i want to get this tattoo started! fuck im such a procrastinator. oh, and i also want to wear my new outfit out ;)

Shopping on the 27th of December

i went highpoint shopping with my mum. (we have a love hate relationship) i bought two jeans. The brand is cheap monday, they were $50 each which i thought was pretty cheap. but the original price was $90. they shouldnt be branded Cheap Mondays if they're not actually cheap. marketing scams, stay away. one of my jeans are skin tight black, nice and thin material so its not too hot to wear out clubbing or during summer. a little bit of stretch for comfort. i like how they fit around my front and crotch, these jeans have a strip of net or a mesh running down the outer of each leg. looks good on the rack but once on, you cant really tell. i tried on the grey verssion, the mesh part looked much better.. ouuu but i wanted it in black, maybe i can bleach the mesh part so it stands out? but what about the grey ones, they look so cool too. fuck it, i bought both. im so bad. i need a fucking job. im pissed off with the sales. phuong reckons prior to Boxing Day, Forever New had a buy one get one free sale. and on Boxing day they downgraded it to buy one get the 2nd one half price. Dogs. Myer had bargin bins with a sign "$99 and over" same with Footlocker. since when is $100 a good price? it may be that im used to overseas prices. shopping for value is so much better overseas, in particularly in London where clothes are good looking and so cheap. i miss it, i miss you Primark. i chose not to wear heels today. although my feet have recovered from yesterday, parts of my foot start hurting when i put it in the high heel position. better not. it will be a 'I Told You SO!!' invitiation for mum. shes just jealous she cant wear heals, or that shes as skinny as me. shes always trying to get me to buy the larger size when it is obviously too bbig for me. dog. theres nothing on tv. it sucks. Glee sucks. but i like looking and their pretty plastic faces. u cant get more american than Glee. this weather is tripping me out. its meant to be summer but it doesnt feellike it. this is probably the coldest summer from memory. after dubai i was looking forward to some scortching heat, but i ended up using my winter shit from overseas. what is this?? im getting ripped off. today i needed to wear a jumper and i couldve done with a jacket too. apparently its 38 degrees on New Years Day, you can imagine how hot its meant to be during midnight? and it better be fkn hot. bcoz i plan to wear singlet and shorts.

Ebay Tips I Have Learnt Along The Way

I worked for 12hrs last night at jwow. I like 12 hour shifts. I maximise my money earnt in one day (since i usually get 1 shift a week). Also I feel hardcore working a 12 hr shift. It's a very physical job and I can hack it =] I slept for 12-14 hours last night. I slept from 4am to 6:30pm. I think there is something wrong with me. I want to get my sleeping pattern back to normal. I reckon the reason for my fucked up sleeping pattern is i have nothing to wake up for, unless it is school or uni. Sigh. I need to stop being so content with my life and find a reason for living that will compel me to wake up! It's 7am. I'm still awake, I wanna stay awake til about 11pm tonight so I can correct my sleeping pattern. It's so boring when no one is awake with you. I've been on ebay the whole time, writing up descriptions of new items to sell, editing and takingphotos, uploading them on photobucket.. It's all ready to be cut and pasted into a listing when the time is right.. that is in about 12 hrs time. someone make the time go quicker! Scroll down to the very end to check out the items ive got to sell. I'm making a business out of ebay. Learning marketing for 2semesters in a row and working at Femme for more than 1 year has influenced my mind to think more customer-based. I reckon I have developed a technique to sell girl clothes more effectively, even guy clothes perhaps. Closely monitoring my ebay listings, i see how many views my item has. If it doesn't have many, I alter a couple of words in the search title or change the photo to a more interesting one. I believe:
  • Without 'watchers' you may not sell the item or get a good price for it
  • You need as many 'watchers' as you can get so they compete and bid for your item, and increase your daily profits!
  • Once a potential buyer is on your page, dont let them escape! Encourage them to look at your other items for sale. I not only do this, but put a slideshow underneath for the lazy or uninterested people. Maybe one of the pictures will catch their eye. That being said, lazy/uninterested people won't sit there and watch your slide show, so put the items you want to sell the most at the start.
Success all starts from the page views. Having me and ate post our clothes at the same time also increases buyer awareness. This girl even bought TWO items which is a good indication that our buyers are checking out our other items. Here are some tips about taking the photos:
  • Attract initial interest with a well lit and engaging photo that would appeal to the intended buyer
  • Sometimes a close up detailed photo is more engaging than a full scale image. A couple times I have changed my full scale images to a close up image and gotten more people watching/viewing my items.
  • Take many photos of the object. Repetition will drill the idea of buying into the customers head. Think of it this way, if they are undecsive about a top.. seeing different aspects of the top multiple times will convince them they DO like the top. Every photo is a confirmation of 'yes, i do like this top'.
  • Photograph the details that make your product unique. Flaunt this.
  • Ensure the quality of the photo, this is very important.
  • If the item doesnt look good on a hanger, model it. And vice versa. But dont model it if the item doesnt look good on u, it will make the item look bad. then no one will want it.
  • Do not upload your 2nd, 3rd etc photos via ebay. You're not gonna pay 25c for additional images. I load them up on photobucket and cut/paste the links into the description sections.
Here are some tips i've learn along the way:
  • Customers are generally shy. If the information is not presented to them, they prolly wont ask for it unless they are compelled to. To encourage buyers to buy, put in lotsa details of your items. And write something friendly to encourage them to ask if they want questions answered.
  • Meaningful, not 'cut and paste' messages, are greatly appreciated.
  • Customers want the product to apply and appeal to them. So try to build a connection between them and the item. You can do this in many ways e.g. tell them how it looks, what you can do to make it look better, what they can wear it with, how nice it looks, how their daughters/sisters will also like this
This is actually the back of the dress. I used it as the listing picture because the zip made it more interesting than the front.
This is a close up photo of the shoulder detail of the top.
After I found my full scale photo wasn't attracting enough attention, I posted this photo in the listing. These rips were the most interesting detail of the jeans.
Good quality photo. The background compliments the colour of the pants. A full scale photo would be boring so I folded the pants. The stripes and logo are visible.
I modeled this shawl because it looked boring on the floor. (see photo below) I can show people how it looks when its being worn. This shawl is a size 14. People who are size 8 might click on this listing anyway. This shawl also looks like a dress. People who like this as a dress might be interested in buying too.

This is how the shawl looked on the floor. BORING! No one's gonna click on this if they saw this from afar, especially when there's other shawls for sale

Our Date: 14th July 2010

This is my very first ebay and online purchase. It came from Hong Kong. it cost me $14.99 with a $10 postage. When i 1st saw it, it was awesome. now that I have it, its not so awesome. maybe ill wear it during summer, maybe its more of a summer dress. thats why i dont like it as much.
Me and vman went on a date on wednesday that 14th of july. He had a day off so we wanted to make the most of our day. We caught a 10:29am train from wg's. We didnt have breakfast so we had cheap sushi from that joint on Lonsdale street, then wake up coffee's at Famous Amos at melbourne central. I tried a chai latte and it was so good. Vman had a Mocha which was also good but not as awesome as mine. We sat outside the chairs at Colorado and ate our food =] I felt we were cute. haha
Our coffees
We did a few laps around the surrounding blocks, looking for winter coats, jackets, jumpers, jeans, shoes or food. Vman set his mind on buying Carhartt pants. I advised against this seeing as Carhartts can sell up to $200 and most of them look exactly the same. We found out they were on sale, vman ended up getting a black version of the grey ones he already has for $99 (not too bad) and I ended up getting a pair for myself =] haha because it was 50% OFF ALL GIRLS JEANS. I've taken a photo of only the back pocket, because thats what i paid $79 for anyway, the name on the bum.
Black straight leg jeans
$79 from $169.99
I was suprised the very first pair i tried on was the perfect fit! Usually I need 3 goes. I tried on another size in disbelief but ended up getting the 1st one. i love these pants, I wore them twice since. They are very comfortable, surprisingly warm and feel like good quality denim. Carhartt, I will buy again. Only when you're on sale though.
For about 1 month now i have been obsessing over thigh boots. The opportunity past on ebay when i found a perfect pair. My computer FUCKED UP and LAGGED within the last seconds of bidding and i didnt win the item =[ i was so sad. so sad. I went out and bought a pair of rip off over the knee (not even thigh high boots). I wore them today. At least they dont hurt my feet.
$60 from FFox or Rampage
Shit quality
We were so surprised at how slow the time went. It was only 3:30pm when we were running out of things to do. We started our day so early. We visited Myer, Spencer Street shopping centre and Melbourne Central Shopping centre.
We ate dinner at Red Silks. Vman made me jealous because he ordered Katsudon and his order came first. I ordered Chicken and veggie stirfry with cashews and rice which was average. We also ordered fried chips on the side, soo good there.
It was time to go home. I love my vman =]
