The Alchimest

Realising the ultimate goal in your life is the first step. The next is going after it. Some people journey toward their goal but get too comfortable in one spot and decide their goal is just better left a dream. Some are afraid that they will be disappointed, they want to protect their heart. But the suffering they go through in anticipation is greater than the actual suffering itself. And a heart going after a goal won't suffer at all.
When you realise your goal, 'the whole universe will conspire to help you achieve it'. The book talks about a World Language which can be understood by all people. It is not a visual or a verbal language, but a spiritual one where dreams, people, conversations, etc mean more than what they are. They are omens. They help you achieve your goal.
Children can understand this language better than adults. As you get older you may ignore these omens that try to help you. The omens scream for attention but you continue to ignore. Soon, the omens and the Language of the World will abandon you. You may feel unhappy for the rest of your because you didnt listen to your omens and now your goal may never be achieved.
Omens are everywhere, you must interpret them to see which path to take towards your goal. It doesn't matter which omens you are aware of and what symbolism you take from these because it will still lead you to your personal legend, there are just different ways of getting there. The reason why all the omens will lead you to your goal no matter your interpretation is because, 'it has been written by the same hand'. The book refers to 'God' and 'Allah'. This one hand wants us to achieve.
'If it wasn't for the 6th day, lead would still be lead and copper would still be copper'. On the 6th day god made man whom he craft from love. Love takes one element and transforms it, or 'betters' it to the next level. Man must better himself by achieving his goal. If everyone achieved his goal then this world will be a better place. I sense references to evolution and utopianism.
Your heart never suffers if its in search of your Personal Legend.

This book speaks a lot about fate and omens. I dont believe in omens. I'd like to make my own interpretation of the omens:
The omens in the book simply encourages you to look at this in positive light. Positive thinking is easier when there is a physical representation, attach a meaning to this physical object/event/conversation/dream/[insert omen] and then decide what it means in terms of achieving your goal. The omen/thing only triggers thought. The thought, as it determines the outcome of your actions, is more important than the omen/thing. If you are capable, minus the physical object and make your own thoughts.
