• N.W.A: Dr. Dre. D.O.C., Easy E, Ice Cube, MC Ren
• Wu Tang Clan: Method Man, Raekwon, Ghost Face Killah, GZA/Genius, RZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard
• Run DMC: breaking hip hop into the mainstream
• Dr. Dre: oversaw the successful careers of Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, The Game, 50c
• Dr. Dre is step brothers with Warren G
