My Mullet Cut

I cut my hair today. I like it. I really like it. I was restless in the hairdressers chair half way through because I couldnt wait to coat my hands in wax and ruff up my hair. I think the hairdressers at Just Cuts were a bit shocked at picture of the dramatic hairstyle. They keep asking me:
Why?? It's so short! Are you SURE?
Yes I'm sure! I've been itching to cut my hair like this for weeks now. But I have learnt to accept your hair will never turn out as cool as the girl's in the photo. These girls must have some crazy hair stylist working on them. So i was grateful for anything similar to it.
Katie, the hairdresser, did a very good job at it too. I didn't feel scared one bit that she'd fuck it up. Katie took 40minutes on me, i saw many customers come and go while i was still there. She would cut the layers bit by bit and ask if i would like it shorter. The answer is always yes, I want the layers so short that it will stick up without any product - but hairdressers hate doing that. They reckon it looks bad.
She also cut my fringe. After 1 year without a fringe, i have one. its an assymetrical one, its short on my right side then falls long to my ear on my left side. I didnt want my length to be cut, and i was only willing to sacrafice 50% of my thickness. I wantd most of my 'jelly' burnt hair to be chopped off. ive endured that burden for fair too long.
Katie sectioned off my long hair and with a sharp pair or scissors went
SNIP!
my long hair feel to the floor. i found it amusing that something that took me five years to grow and maintain was so simply cut off and left for trash. My hair is me, it's been apart of me. It was kinda sad, but also relieving to have this weight and jelly hair snipped off.
My thickness is gone and most of the top hairs have been cut off to make short layers around my head. I now have a mullet - a punk rock, elfin, cutesy girl asian mullet. my favourite part is the fringe. vman says it brings out the 'chinkiness' in me.
its so much better having less hair. less to maintain, lighter, and most of all NO JELLY BITS.

Before and After
i enquired at Essential Beauty about nose piercings. they would cost $45 - quite expensive but the girl was lovely. I want to get my nose pierced by her. The studs are flat and silver, with a curved hook. This means its more difficult to accidentally scratch out which is exactly what happened in Surfers Paradise. puck yoooou! she reckons i wont be able to get a clear plastic stick in the peircing til about 2weeks after because the skin will just close up and ingulf the plastic - yuck. i must get it done.. and ignore mum and the threat of getting kicked out of my house.
Ate came over tonight. We cooked lasagne and a condensed milk/nutella waffle dessert. She was on a roll and decided to clear out the pantry of expired food. Mum's a horder. She loves keeping expired food. There were things dating back to 2007 in there and coke cans from 2008 that have lost their fizz. flat coke? yum
