2011 NYE Celebrations

there were multiple NYE party plans, none of which i was entirely enthusiastic about. i planned to go with vman for a bit and party at Reggies house in Delahey, then walk to my friends party in Kings Park picking up Frankie on the way. it was a good night for a walk too. it was certainly singlet and shorts and slippers weather. it was awesome, exactly what i looked forward to when it comes to summer. Reggies house is in absolute walking distance to vmans house, but being lazy people vman drove. even when we needed to get alcoholic supplies from vmans house we drove. i was drinking all night. nothing hard, i didnt get enough peer pressure to go hard. i hugged my 700ml Frangelico bottle and drank that for the whole night with lime and ice. yummy. Reggie had a spit roast going, there were three big chunks of meat on that thing
CHICKEN BEEF OR LAMB?
i wasnt hungry i ate pancit and buko pandan at home (my mum now makes buko pandan.. yesssss) my two favorites. it waas mostly vmans friends there, no one really that i knew except for the couple of vmans regular drinking buddies. by 10pm i was too lazy to go to my friends party. Reggies house was in the perfect location for fireworks watching. it seemed it was customary for the people in Delahey to illegally purchase and light fireworks on NYE. it was my first delahey NYE party and i was absolutely shocked at the amount of fireworks (and also the quality) going off that night. it was crazy. these fireworks are the ones similarly seen in the city. beautiful, loud, high, colourful, graceful.. there were some shitty St. Albans purchased ones but we didnt take much notice of them. we stood outfront of the house and turned in all directions for the fireworks, they were going off in the near by streets. they seemed to compete with each other, who can be the biggest, loudest and the prettiest. i liked the louder ones the best. a euphoric feeling came over me. these people pay $100's, maybe even $1,000's for these fireworks. they risk imprisonment and hefty fines not only for the purchase but the lighting of the fireworks (not to mention last night was total fireban) for the celebration of NYE and the entertainment of others. people are so generous. vmans friends kept yelling out:
"Another one! Do it again!"
Ante started singing Katy Perry's 'Firework" song. haha We went inside and the stong spirits came out. when ever someone rocked up to the party they brought with them at least 1 bottle of alcohol, sometimes some mixer drinks and limes. by 1am there were so many bottles of alchi on the table.
  • Sierra Tequila
  • (my) Russian Standard Vodka + Fruit Juice
  • (my) Frangelico + Limes
  • Belvedere Vodka x2
  • Cherry Vodka
  • Jim Beam
  • Scotch
  • Southern Comfort
  • Budwiser Beer
  • Corona
Thats all i remember at the moment. i was counting how many types of alcohol vman mixed in his poor tummy. SIX! he woke up the the worst hangover in ages. HAHA it was getting late, and all the Frangelico did to me was make me sleepy. i wasnt ready to do the shots - after working at a bar, i refuse to do disgusting shots (unless i wanna get fucked real quick and do ABC's or Bacardi 151's = death to the throat). i found myself a dark place and a long comfy couch and feel asleep. people thought i was fucked up but i wasn't. there was nothing else to do.vman was busy being drunk and restless, and practicing Arnis on skeptic volunteers. 'he is an AGRESSIVE drunk' we ended up, well I ended up leaving at 5am. happy new year. 2010 was awesome - My year of Travel and the beginning of my independence
Notes
Ace threw a BBQ on NYD. How nice of him. It was probably because we were peer pressuring him to throw NYE at his joint. His parents were out of town so January 1 was the day. Nice ace. he provided and paid for everything. There's something about Viets and the way they marinate and cut their lamb. its fucking good. no need to eat with rice, the rice will spoil it. i can remember the taste just thinking about it. i am salivating. what a funny world. it reminds me of the time vman was lining up at Maccas for a slurpee, i told him i wanted a McChicken burger- he said i cudnt have one for the sake of my health. but then i showed him my mouth, that was suddenly full of saliva from the thought of the burger and he let me buy one. heheh. he said i was an idiot. HAHA. Ace's got a massive house. He has stuff toys of Spiderman. Ace lovingly caressed Spiderman's face as he said 'Do you know my favourite superhero is Spiderman?' hahah gay. i was wearing shorts on this day, but the night was cold and i had to borrow some of Ace's pants. hehe. mmm warmm. I raided his fridge and found cake. SCORE! but the cake was like, 100% cream. yuck. u can have it.
